mydarlinginej:

since we’re getting a new grishaverse book, i thought it was time we did another challenge! from the same people who brought you the ck countdown challenge and the sixofcrowsnw challenge: take two, here is:

THE LANGUAGE OF THORNS COUNTDOWN CHALLENGE (#tlotcc) !!

this is a month-long countdown, and it’ll run from august 29-september 26, the release day for tlot, ~2 years since six of crows was released, and ~1 year since crooked kingdom came out. here are the prompts:

AUGUST 29 - SEPTEMBER 4: most iconic line (from any grishaverse book)

SEPTEMBER 5 - SEPTEMBER 11: favorite grisha (i.e. heartrenders, squallers, fabrikators, etc.)

SEPTEMBER 12 - SEPTEMBER 18: most underrated character (again from any grishaverse book)

SEPTEMBER 19 - SEPTEMBER 25: favorite book in the grishaverse

SEPTEMBER 26: happy release day! anything you want from the grishaverse (your favorite scene/character/ship, whatever you want!)

any content is appreciated although (and i hate that i have to say this every time yet it still happens) please do not whitewash inej or jesper or use a skinny fancast for nina. it does not properly represent the characters leigh has written, and frankly it’s just wrong. i hope you all participate in some way even if you can’t make edits. it’ll be a fun month! and tag your posts as #tlotcc so i can track them (and feel free to tag me #mydarlinginej)!!

no mourners, no funerals

This is so lovely!

I confess … I’m ridiculously nervous and excited about this collection coming out. It was very much a labor of love for me and Sara Kipin and all of the wonderful people at Imprint/MacKids. I don’t feel like every publishing house would have taken a chance on this project so I’m feeling very grateful. (And I really hope you guys like them

Leanne I can't believe it's been that long since Six of Crows has been released...it still feels like yesterday since I read it.
