So much goodness to share today!
First off, I'd like to thank everyone for their support when I grouched yesterday that Editor Kate was making me brain up a new plot. Yes, I agree that the marketing and artsy dudes should just be able to magically guess what I was doing, but I do realize that I have to give them SOMETHING to go on, and thus, that requires the muse doing her job.
It wasn't easy, but after I gave her three pieces of chocolate orange sticks, she kindly handed over a story idea so exciting, I am giddy with delight. And she even whipped up a couple of pages of a plot, so now I have something to send to the peeps at the publisher, which makes everyone happy.
Except now I'm out of chocolate orange sticks. Drat.
In related good news, my first suggestion of a title was accepted for this book, and guess what? It's a literary title! I know, shocked me too, but I'm not complaining. More about the title later, but for now, rest assured that not only is it a lit title, it's my choice, so all is well.
Best of all, the cover art for Baltic 3 came in, and hoobah, do I want to lick it. Well, the model. Or Baltic. I'm not picky.
Front cover:

And stepback:

Editor Kate and I talked about doing Baltic's back for this book's cover, and I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out. So very lickable. And touchable. And smoooth. Did I mention lickable?
I love the stepback as well. It is absolutely PERFECT for the book. I think I may want to move into that house, too...
All in all, it's been a very good day. What do you all think of the cover? Lickable or no?
