Get Ready To Meet the Heroes of AFSOC

I feel like I've been waiting for this forever, but on Monday Deadly Descent is finally "out" in the world. I'm so excited for you all to meet Air Force Tech Sgt Cam Munro, my delicious PJ hero. I cannot tell you how much I admire and respect these men and what they do.

Blurb: Devon Crawford is an officer; Air Force Pararescueman Cam Munro is enlisted. Dev flies medical evacuations; Cam jumps into danger zones to save lives. Dev wants to return home from Afghanistan with her heart untouched; Cam will do anything to win the woman he loves.

Reaching for happiness in a war zone is the last thing Captain Devon Crawford plans, but she can't ignore the feelings she's hidden for so long. Cam's sexy charm and wicked kisses weaken her resistance, but she's too afraid of losing him to give in.

When Dev's helicopter and crew are shot down and set up as bait by a notorious warlord, Cam risks all to save the team. What he doesn't know is that the trap is set for him.

This week is nuts for me (in a good way), so here's a list of places and dates where you can find me if you'd like to try and win a copy of Deadly Descent.

Monday, September 5th: Fresh Fiction
Tuesday, September 6th: Carina Press blog, SOS Aloha blog
Wednesday, September 7th: Smexy Books, Writers Gone Wild
Friday, September 9th: Cynthia Eden's blog
Monday, September 12th: Book Lovers Inc.

Whew! That's a lot, huh? Plus both my kids are starting school Tuesday, and I have another set of edits due back by the end of next week.

I hope you'll enjoy Cam and Dev's story. PJs truly are amazing. They live and die by their motto "That Others May Live", and deserve our respect and our gratitude.

Wendy Can't wait, to read this!

Oh Kaylea, I'm just reading about these Pararescuers, now on the internet. WOW, they are one special bunch aren't they? But then again, they all are :)

Kaylea Cross So special! I have such a crush on them. *sigh*

Hey Kaylea,
I downloaded Deadly Descent this morning at 5 a.m.
I like it so far!

Callie Croix Thanks, Baba! I love Cam. I did some really cool research for this one, you'll see it when you get to the crash scene and onward.

The action is so good (ehm, including the crash scene)! I really like Cam. But there are also Ryan and Ace...any chance I'll read "their" story in the near future?

Kaylea Cross Oooh, the crash scene. I think that's my favorite part of the book. My heart was pounding while I wrote that!

Yes, Ace and Ryan are due up next. I feel awful, since I really should have finished that book months ago, but I hit a bit of a brick wall and couldn't find a way to bust through it. Currently I'm trying to figure out how to balance developing their relationship while keeping the pacing tight. Not so easy!

Thanks, Kaylea! I'm looking forward reading their story! I loved the bantering/teasing between Ryan and Ace. Sweet!! And I'm sure you'll smash down this brick wall! Fingers crossed...LOL

Kaylea Cross Yes, I'm crossing my fingers too! That Callie Croix chick has been stealing all my writing time.

Wendy Kaylea, OMG how I love this book :) I love it so much I'd like to marry it and have it's book babies..LOL! Thanks so much for bringing these wonderful characters to life. I haven't quite finished it yet. I'm 77% into it.

Yay! Ryan and Ace's story, I can't wait! Ryan reminds me so much of Ben, he's gorgeous. Cam on the other hand, what an Alpha male, hot, sexy, gorgeous and sweet *sigh*

PS. Don't be too hard on Callie Croix, we love her too ;)

Kaylea Cross Bwahahahaha!!! Oh, too funny. What can I say, except I'm glad you're enjoying it. Aren't PJs something? Talk about selfless heroism.

You're right, Ryan is a bit like Ben. More controlled, though, and less of a temper. But a definite sh*t disturber!

message 11: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Oh Kaylea, yes these PJ's are something else *sigh* They're up there with my Navy Seals :)

Well said Kaylea, Ryan is a sh*t disturber! LOL!

Baba Hi Kaylea,
I finished Deadly Descent today and posted my review. Liked it! Aw, love your alpha male heroes - they are so scrumptious! Always. And the women in Deadly Descent know how to kick ass!
Ehm, Wendy, I beat you! Are you pouting now? Sorry, just kidding. LOL

message 13: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Barbara, no hard feelings here :)

message 14: by Kaylea (new)

Kaylea Cross Baba, glad you liked it! I really like the way Dev "picks up her game" after the crash.

I know, I know! LOL But Deacon's Touch...you've got me there. I have to read it yet. Hey, during lunch break I didn't read. Imagine! What a shame. But I did something else...I watched Federer play against Monaco. Wow, FedEx played fantastic. I really, really hope he'll beat Tsonga. I'm already anxious...
