Beware - Writer Walking!

I just spent the last four hours lost in Weslyn, so I decided it was time to take a break and make sure my legs still worked. Besides, I was out of my caffeinated fuel and need to restock.

Yes, that's the secret behind finding the right words - caffeine! The sugary, carbonated version that preserves your insides. Some would say rot, but I'm quite certain that whatever it is that makes this glow green must be some kind of preservative.

I walked the short distance down the street to the local mart - the one that the only reason people stop is to fill up on sugar and caffeine, or to buy lottery tickets. Caffeine fix please.

My legs walked, but that's all that was going on. The rest of me was checked out! My brain hadn't transitioned back from Weslyn, and my eyes were glazed over, hardly able to focus since I hadn't blinked in about an hour. The guy behind the counter was too busy talking in his bluetooth to notice - unless he was talking to me, in that case he probably thought I was on something. Nope, I'm just a writer walking - don't mind me.

Back to Weslyn... although a part of me never left. I'm about a third of the way through the story - and the goal is to have it out by this fall, 2011. (I noticed some of you were wondering.)

Amber Reynolds You gotta hurry Rebecca! I'm constantly checking for release info! I have to tell you thank you too. After reading the first book I realized that my experience as a survivor of child abuse could benefit other kids. So, I've started the ground work for an outreach program through the battered women and childrens shelter. So, thank you!

Amber Reynolds Thanks Rebecca! I'm just trying to turn tragedy into triumph. I realized I can heal myself and help others heal through the program. I'm so glad the shelter was open to my idea! :)

Kathryn J. I bought your book for my Kindle to read during my current trip to Poland, as I am often left with downtime in which to devour stories. I have to say, I LOVED your book. I wasn't sure what to expect just from the descrption, but I have to say, once I start reading it, I couldn't stop. I started yesterday at about 11 in the morning and I am already finished at 10 tonight. I didn't read constantly, but literally, whenever I had downtime, I had the Kindle in my hands. I was sitting around my family, and while they were talking, I was finishing this beloved story. When I read the epliogue, my mouth literally dropped open. I am SOO anxiously awaiting this sequel, I can't even begin to describe it. Thank you for being so dedicated to the book and just know that I am SO SO SO excited for it. I know you won't disappoint. I am devoted reader of yours from now on!

Rebecca Thank you all for your patience! The sequel is an entirely different story than the first, and writing it has been a completely different process. But it's coming along!

Isabella First I have to say that your book was amazing and I could not put it down. I actually cried when I read the ending because I thought she was for sure dead!! but now i read it again and I am just really confused I started freaking out because no one was home to talk to! I can not wait for the next book to come out and I really do hope that she survived or I will start crying all over again. For some reason when I read books I feel the same emotions as I would if it were actually happening to me.... I cant wait for the next book and u are an amazing writer not many people would have the guts to end a book in that way! :) I am so glad there is another book!!!!!!!
