How do we support the writers we love to read?

I'm blogging today on Love Bytes Reviews. The question is, how can we pull together and help our genre's authors weather the storms of 2016's closures and changes?

Rachel Thanks for sharing so many great suggestions for supporting authors we love. So helpful to learn about buying from sites that give better royalties and the new linking site – Queeromance Ink(still WIP where authors can provide links to their preferred sites for buying or downloading).

I'll be striving to incorporate your tips. Thank you!!

Kaje Harper Cool - I don't ever want to suggest that readers owe us anything more than just buying the books that they read. Your convenience, your comfort with where you buy, matters too. But so many people asked, and it all helps <3

I'm looking forward to seeing Scott's site go up. I hope it will be a resource.

My personal experience with reading involves feelings of appreciation and gratitude for authors. Being informed and knowing how my buying choices may best support an author is important to me.

I chose to highlight the buyer/author royalties issue, but you also offer great suggestions about writing reviews, reading blogs, offering encouragement and kindness, and denouncing piracy, etc... It helps to be informed, and your post did just that for me.

Thanks again.
