Moving House

Since I turned in my completed manuscript on Thursday, the duchesses have released me from bondage to blog again. I've decided, however, to move my blog over to WordPress. I like Blogger, but WordPress offers some features that Blogger doesn't. So hereafter, I'll be blogging at this address. I've already got a new post up.

You'll note that my new blog has a new title: History Refreshed with Susan Higginbotham. I thought "Medieval Woman" was too limiting now that I'm writing about the Tudors as well.

Because my first few blog posts didn't transfer over to WordPress, and since it will probably take a while for people to start following me at the new blog, I won't delete this blog.

Hope to see you over at the new address!

Misfit Welcome to Wordpress. Life is so much easier here :)

Jemidar Yay!! The manuscript was turned in on time. I've been thinking about you and wondering how it was going.

Love the new name of the blog too. It does a much, much better job of describing what you do best :-).

Susan Thanks, ladies! I feel strangely guilty about abandoning Blogger after all of these years, but with WordPress I can add pages, categorize my posts, and do all sorts of handy things.

And it's a relief having that MS turned in! Now just to hope that it passes muster with my editor!

Jemidar So, when's the release date? ;-D.

Misfit Word press is just so much more user friendly IMO, plus commenting on blogger was becoming quite a pain in the you-know-where. You don't always have the bells and whistles of the fancy widgets and gidgets from blogger, but then pages with tons of those take soooooooooooooo long to load they rarely get out of my reader.

Jemidar I like that it has a home button up the top and that you don't have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to refresh :-).

Susan I'm not sure about the exact release date. Amazon has it for January.

I'm still experimenting with all of WordPress's widgets and thingies.

Misfit They're pretty easy for the most part. The image is real easy if you want a pic on your sidebar. I like the tag and category clouds instead of the straight list. Videos are a lot easier to up load with just a Youtube URL.
