Alexis Woods Great blog. Distinction of characters is something I strive for too. I admit I'm also quick to note in review when an author states a character is from a specific geographic region and then does nothing to show it in inflection, drawl, phrasing. Drives me batty.

Kaje Harper Yeah - I do love books with distinctions of language and phrasing, and it adds interest and color.

April I have read and loved all the examples you used. I don't need for all the characters I read about to have quite such distinct voices, but I do love it when they do!

So many great stories. Yeah, sometimes the guys are more alike, and the distinctions are more subtle.
