Anybody Want to Lend a Little Insight on Wisdom and Folly?

Hey, if any of you have the chance or the inclination, I would love to get your input and insight on something I’m researching. I have three questions and would be incredibly helped by your response to any one of them, two of them, or all three of them.

I am going to keep the comments hidden so you can be as candid as you need to be to make your point. In an ideal blogging world, I could simply publish the comments that you don’t mind being public and keep the other ones hidden but as all of us who have moderated posts know, it is frighteningly easy to accidentally publish a comment that the person asked to remain private. It’s too risky. Keep in mind that the research and insight I gain from you is for implementation into teaching. Anything you share could end up in a lesson but I will do so in protective regard for your anonymity.

OK here are the 3 questions. Specific answers are the best answers!

1. What turned out to be one of the wisest things anybody ever told you?

2. What is one of the most foolish things you ever fell for or were told?

3. To lighten it up: What is the funniest foolish thing you’ve ever done? In other words, it was dumb but pretty hilarious to look back on.

You are a huge help to me! A wealth! May Jesus continue to reveal Himself affectionately and powerfully to each of you. And to your friend here!

Love,

Beth

Anda 1. Never shave your legs for a first date.

2. Never take medical advice from people who are always sick.

3. I tweezed my eyebrows so they were even with my glasses, then I got caught in the rain and realized how important eyebrows were. I couldn't keep my eyes open because the water ran straight into my eyes!
