As for the legend of Medusa, I always thought she got a raw deal. Compared to the actions of other mythological figures, she was a sweetheart.
I loved your three book series on the DOA.
You created such a vivid, mystical realm for the characters. Simply put, superb story telling.

Julia, thank you! It's been really interesting learning not only the different versions of the myth, but some of the derivations of it in other cultures (like African society), and even cooler, how some current day causes have adopted her as a symbol against violence against women. All of those tips/leads have been sent to me by wonderful readers like yourself, and all have so far managed to find their way into the book in various ways. Can't wait to share the final result with you all.

Sandra, I agree - basically she was a beautiful girl in the wrong place at the wrong time, which is a sad and too common story. Note my comment to Julia above - think that's one reason I really loved hearing her symbolism has been adopted by some of those who fight violence against women. In whatever reality she exists/existed, I think she'd appreciate that. :>
Thank you for the congrats on the Golden Flogger award (I'm still terribly tickled about that) and also for the compliment on the DOA! Did you enjoy the Dark and Light vignette about David and Mina as well? I really hope Clara and Marcellus's appearance in MH is a foreshadowing of their own book sometime soon!
