I’m trying out a new marketing idea

I’ve taken the opening of my latest thriller, Dead Line, and published it as a free, self-contained short story on Goodreads and Smashwords. Title: Unspoken Words, Unanswered Questions. Response has been good so far, including a mention on Time magazine’s site, Time.com. If you haven’t read the book, or can only take me in small doses, you might enjoy this. Thanks.
