The Hidden Oracle!

HIDDEN ORACLE Final cover

Thanks to everyone who came to our launch event in Boston on Tuesday, May 3! We had a sold-out crowd and I loved hearing your questions and sharing your enthusiasm. And thanks to everyone on social media who has already responded to the new series with such love and appreciation. I’ve got the best readers in the world! It’s always a relief to me when I hear that I met your expectations in a new volume.

If you haven’t picked up your copy of The Hidden Oracle yet, it is now available anywhere books are sold in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. I’m not sure about the other markets. I don’t get that info. But if it’s not yet available where you live, I’m sure the publishers are working hard to get it into your hands as soon as possible!

And if you missed the usual “Coming in 2017” at the end of The Hidden Oracle, I did too! Here is the title of book two, which will be here next October:

Trials of Apollo BOOK 2 type cover 2P

Also the Rick Riordan website has just had a facelift. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Yeah so you are half a year ahead of me... weird. I've always found it weird that some countries don't start school at the start of the year.

Haha! At my school we dance in front of teachers all the time. They're the chaperones for school dances.

message 1277: by Zara (new)

Zara School dance? What exactly is that anyway?

message 1278: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She We perform a dance we made in gym class and get mark for it.

message 1279: by Zara (new)

Zara Kang Ying wrote: "We perform a dance we made in gym class and get mark for it."

You get marked for dance? That's strange.

message 1280: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She That is in our school you just have to deal with it.

message 1281: by N.E.S (new)

N.E.S KittenHestia wrote: "School dance? What exactly is that anyway?"

You mean like proms and stuff like that? Well its basically dances and parties held at the school you go to. You can ask someone out to it or you can go by yourself or friends. There's music, dancing, and food. And sometimes you have to pay an admission to get in for a fundraising event.

If I ever go to one I rather go with my friends.

message 1286: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She I will only go with my friends. But the problem is I don't have any dress to wear and I never wanted to go on a prom. I would stay at home and read book. I have planned to ask my mother to wear her dress.
Btw it's not like I would go with a guy to the prom and I think no one would ever ask me.

i'm sure someone would. i would be more likely reading a book than going to a prom to be honest

message 1288: by Kang Ying (new)

That thing that sucks for me is that a book i really want to read is not on my library catalog so i'm going to have to read alot of other books that I can get to keep my mind off the others

I have planned to read 60 maybe 70. It's really hard time for me next year so I am not sure.
Same here Nadia. But I just ask librarian to buy them in..

I probably wouldn't want to go to a dance with any of the guys that I know, but when I get there I'm sure as heck gonna ask them to dance with me. The only reason is that the best way to swing dance is to dance with a guy who is taller than you who knows what they are doing. It's fun for me especially because all the guys in my class are way taller than me (I'm only 5'0") and since most of us took lessons last year, most know what they are doing. It's fun to dance with them, but probably not to go to a dance with them.

message 1298: by Emily (new)

Emily And I get off on Christmas break tomorrow! Yay! :)

message 1299: by Kang Ying (last edited Dec 21, 2016 11:53PM) (new)

Kang Ying She I already have Christmas break. I don't think I would go to my new year prom. I asked my mother yesterday. My father is in China 19th January and I am the one who never wanted to stay in a party till midnight. I'm not sure what to do.
I think I maybe would ask a guy to dance, but the thing is my friend in my class never dances with someone than their friends.

I am also one of the shortest in my class. Every guy is so much higher than me I'm 156 cm I think.
