The Hidden Oracle!

HIDDEN ORACLE Final cover

Thanks to everyone who came to our launch event in Boston on Tuesday, May 3! We had a sold-out crowd and I loved hearing your questions and sharing your enthusiasm. And thanks to everyone on social media who has already responded to the new series with such love and appreciation. I’ve got the best readers in the world! It’s always a relief to me when I hear that I met your expectations in a new volume.

If you haven’t picked up your copy of The Hidden Oracle yet, it is now available anywhere books are sold in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. I’m not sure about the other markets. I don’t get that info. But if it’s not yet available where you live, I’m sure the publishers are working hard to get it into your hands as soon as possible!

And if you missed the usual “Coming in 2017” at the end of The Hidden Oracle, I did too! Here is the title of book two, which will be here next October:

Trials of Apollo BOOK 2 type cover 2P

Also the Rick Riordan website has just had a facelift. Check it out and let me know what you think!

I am not saying that the boys at my school are perfect. Some of them are jerks. But if you wanna meet semi-decent, Christian guys, classical education schools are the place to do it. :)

message 852: by Emily (new)

Emily But no boys will ever be as good our fictional guys (Percy, Leo,Nico, Carter, Walt, and Magnus to name a few).

But in some ways they are better because you can actually talk to them and they can listen to you and talk back.

But no guys will be perfect like our guys. I have spent almost 16 years figuring that out.

Nothing much only waiting for my birthday which is on saturday. Only a few, have you read Cinder its a good book.

message 856: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She Cinder is actually on my to read list. But to be honest I also have a friend who is a boy. That just made my day worse, because they think I and him would be a cute couple. But most in 10 grade are annoying.

Yeah.. that happened to me last year with my guy friend Eddie. But the problem is now I actually do like him and I am pretty sure he still likes me but neither of us want to admit it to the other. It has pretty much ruined the great relationship we had last year, it is just so awkward to talk to the other. It feels planned now instead of spontaneous. So word of warning, DON'T LET ANYBODY SHIP YOU WITH YOUR GUY FRIEND!!! I also have a lot of other horror stories of shipping. It's something better left alone.

message 870: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She I Know the feeling. I feel to awkward to talk with my guy friend Mattias. For a while I liked him more than just a friend. We got along so well. He is actually my first guy friend that I could talk with so well. But everything faded when I began in 10.grade.

message 875: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She Well I actually had a busy week with high school math test. We also had culture week (if I translate from Norwegian to English) . I know it is unusual I always comment here if I had time.

message 876: by Emily (new)

Emily Same. I've been SWAMPED this past week. I check in almost everyday though and when I saw no one had posted I thought it was odd.

message 877: by Kang Ying (new)

Zara Whoa I just woke up and saw a gazillion goodreads notifications on my phone

message 886: by Zara (new)

Zara My first thought was to look it up online for ideas and it came up with a bunch of websites that you needed an account for. Guess how old you have to be to make an account? 13!!! And I have lied about my age on a few services (such as goodreads) but I would prefer to leave the rest until I am 13.

yeah i did that too when i was 12 now im 13 going on 14

for b-day ideas i would think of diffrent categories. for example, if your having a party whos going to be there? friends, family, or a little bit of both?
or if not have a party would you go a certain place you like or do something?
Do a book related theme party are you going to go all potterhead crazy and make your house look like hogwarts? or you can make your backyard look like camp half-blood?

honestly whatever make you feel like you never want the day to end. its not every day someone turns into a teenager!

Thx those are some good suggestions! The booked themed thing reminded me of how last year I had a blue birthday cake. It looked normal on the outside and bright blue on the inside it was so cool!

message 892: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She I always had a simple birthday celebration. If it was me I would have a book themed celebration.

message 893: by Kang Ying (new)

I kind of want people to just give me cash but they don't usually listen. Especially my Yaya (Greek for Grandma) always insists on buying me clothes and sure some of them are nice but some of them are so ugly! Like this pink frilly jumper she got me for my 13th.

Oh my... jumpers are forever scarred for me as I had to wear it as a Catholic school student until I was 13! It was ugly green plaid and it DID NOT look good on me. :|
