The Hidden Oracle!

HIDDEN ORACLE Final cover

Thanks to everyone who came to our launch event in Boston on Tuesday, May 3! We had a sold-out crowd and I loved hearing your questions and sharing your enthusiasm. And thanks to everyone on social media who has already responded to the new series with such love and appreciation. I’ve got the best readers in the world! It’s always a relief to me when I hear that I met your expectations in a new volume.

If you haven’t picked up your copy of The Hidden Oracle yet, it is now available anywhere books are sold in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. I’m not sure about the other markets. I don’t get that info. But if it’s not yet available where you live, I’m sure the publishers are working hard to get it into your hands as soon as possible!

And if you missed the usual “Coming in 2017” at the end of The Hidden Oracle, I did too! Here is the title of book two, which will be here next October:

Trials of Apollo BOOK 2 type cover 2P

Also the Rick Riordan website has just had a facelift. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Never took care of a baby so don't really know how it feels like to take care of one.

message 504: by Zara (new)

Zara I'm home from school so all I am doing is watching Olympics and Star Trek: Voyager

message 505: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She I watch Olympics since i have nothing to do. And I also have never taken care of a baby before so I agree with Evelin

message 506: by Kang Ying (last edited Aug 08, 2016 10:15PM) (new)

Kang Ying She I still have 2 weeks till school begins. So I am taken my time to read as much as I can and break my old summer record with 8 books.

Me too.

message 510: by Zara (new)

Zara Wow I guess kangaroos are just something o take for granted.

message 511: by Zara (new)

Zara And one important thing that tourists don't seem to know is that if it is smaller it is a wallaby not a kangaroo kangaroos are taller than people.

message 512: by Zara (last edited Aug 09, 2016 02:14PM) (new)

Zara Like on the old tv show skippy the bush kangaroo skippy is actually a wallaby.

message 513: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine I know how you feel. I am from Florida so everyone thinks that I just live on the beach all day, then go to Disney at night. They also think I have alligators as pets (never seen one irl), love orange juice, and all of Florida is like Miami. UGH! I actually almost hate the beach, I have been to Disney more times than the average person, but.....okay yes, I've been to Disney for birthdays, music competitions, and school field trips. I have never seen an alligator. When it comes to Miami, it is TOTALLY different from the rest of Florida. North Florida is basically South Georgia, West Florida is where the best schools are (specifically one county, but I am going to refrain from saying it because of safety reasons), Central Florida is just normal, I don't know anything about East Florida....it just seems weird over there, and then South Florida is basically a different state. Anyways, my Florida rant pt. 1 is over.

message 514: by Zara (new)

Zara Yeah stereotypes are annoying

Jasmine IT WAS LITERALLY AMONSOON AT SCHOOL. MY SCHOOL IS BASICALLY COVERED IN TREES AND LOTS OF CLASSES ARE SEPARATED SO WE HAD TO WALK IN THE HUGE POOLS OF RAIN THE YESTERDAY AND TODAY! I HATE FLORIDA SUMMERS!

message 518: by Jasmine (new)

message 519: by Midhat (last edited Aug 09, 2016 07:53PM) (new)

Midhat KittenHestia wrote: "Yeah stereotypes are annoying"

Exactly! Just because I live in Canada, people think I love maple syrup and that it's always snowing. I hate maple syrup, and it only snows in the winter, people.

message 520: by Zara (new)

Zara At least it snows at all unlike Australia where it mostly only snows on mountains

message 522: by Kang Ying (new)

Kang Ying She It's the same with me too. my class mates thinks that in China we love sushi even thought it is Japanese they never know the difference

message 523: by Zara (new)

Zara Yeah no one seems to know the difference between Chinese and Japanese...

message 524: by Zara (new)

Zara Aussie stereotype: wanna come over this arvo for a barbie in the sun because of course it's always sunny here.

Seriously I don't think I've ever seen an Australian Tv representation of Australia where it is not sunny. And they always choose either the beach, the bush or the outback never in an Australian city or suburb.

And I hate the beach I hate barbecue (vegetarian) and even though slang is commonly used I don't think anyone ever says g'day. EVER.

In fact on the soap opera home and away it is sunny ALL THE TIME. I read that the actors have to film in winter in bikinis and stuff on the beach early in the morning.
