Carole Cummings I already have the books, so you don't have to enter my name in that, but I did the survey. I wanted to expand a little, though, because I think it's important.

I understand why you'd want to change the existing titles, but I really think it'll make buying the right ones too confusing for a reader. It's already somewhat confusing. I rec'd the 'Scary Mary' and 'Oblivion' books on my lj a while back, and there were several people who bought them, but not without coming back to me to ask if they had the right ones first, even though I linked to the paperbacks on Amazon. One friend, I had to get on IM with her and actually walk her through her purchase.

Also--I've dubbed the paperbacks Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary and A Bitter Taste of Sweet Oblivion #1 and #2

Wait, whatwhatwhat? There's a 2? Does this mean there's another paperback coming after 'Elixir'? Or am I reading this with too much hope in my heart?

OMGTELLMEEEEEEEE!

Jordan Price I'm thinking for people new to the series, having the stories titled Fluid, Swarm, etc but being part of the Channeling Morpheus series is the least confusing way to go.

The paperbacks are officially called:
Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary - Channeling Morpheus Series Book 1
A Bitter Taste of Sweet Oblivion - Channeling Morpheus Series Book 2

So far the overwhelming opinion is to pull it all under the Channeling Morpheus series name.

I'll need to see if there's much interest in the series before I determine if I can continue. I'll have a better idea once I put out the second editions of the ebooks. The people who like the series like it a lot, but there don't seem to be many of you out there.

It's disheartening to hear how confusing the re-name made the series. :(

Carole Cummings Oh. *sigh* I knew it was too good to be true.

And I didn't mean to dishearten you. I think most of the confusion on the parts of those who were asking me was that they weren't understanding that Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary contained Channeling Morpheus: Payback, for instance. Which, yeah, if you're a new reader who wasn't there as the stories were coming out one at a time, it would be a bit confusing, I guess. I do remember when I finished Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary that I didn't know the Oblivion books were a part of that 'verse until I whined there wasn't more and you told me, uh, yeah, there is. So, the overwhelming opinion is probably the right one.

I'm really sorry and very surprised to hear that you don't have gangs of fans beating down your metaphorical door for more of this series. I love it with esoteric bliss, and would happily fork over my Visa card for more. I hope the sales on the second editions surprise you.

Jordan Price One of the people who answered the survey gave me a reason for renaming the Sweet Oblivion part that I think trumps everything else: a new reader might start in on Sweet Oblivion 1 without reading Channeling Morpheus 1-5. That would totally suck. The whole thing is frustrating.

Thank you for the kind words about the series. :D
