Step Out In Faith

For you are our glory and our joy.

1 Thessalonians 2:20

When the Lord exhorts you to do a thing, do not waffle, do not shirk, and do not go about asking others if it is the right thing to do. Step out in faith and do it.

Nothing is more egregious to our walk than this need for constant confirmation that it is the will of God. Step out in faith. Make mistakes. Learn from your own mistakes. It is not the end of the world. If a child learning to walk stops with every step to find out if it is...

D.K. LeVick I like this and it dovetails very nicely with some things I've working over recently. If one studies the miracles of Jesus - it's quite interesting that on most of them he commanded the person involved to do something - while they were still afflicted. Only when they took that step of faith as you so appropriately call it, did the miracle occur. Too often people read right by that part.

I always imagined that when Moses came to the Red Sea, with the Egyptians after them and all those people following him, he had to put his foot into the water so it would open up.

Believing that the Lord walks before us all the time, and even when we take the wrong road, He is not surprised, He knows and it is nothing but a side road to get back to the main.

God is good!
