Spike is in the last season of Angel also and well Mr. Whedon carried over both Buffy and Angel to comic book form and well Spike got a little spinoff in comics too so if you're really in love with him he is still going.

I'm a huge fan of the Promises series and I can tell you as a reader, I'm okay with no angst. Deacon and Crick make me sob every time and I think they have had enough angst to last me and the rest of the characters a lifetime. I'm so excited this book is coming out, I've been waiting for Jeff's story since book 1. Really love the progression of your novels,so I hope that's reassuring.

Angel is on our family queue, and I've already ordered the '8th season' comic books-- yeah, I know there's more Spike out there, but boy, did I love him for that last ep!

I worry-- everyone knows I worry;-) I just hope you guys like this one--everyone is so invested!
Amy if i remember right in the comic book Buffy has a dream of Angel and Spike together. I could be mistaking that for fan art but I think it is in the comics. I really liked the comics. Also you should get Joss Whedon’s Frey comic series it is really short but so good and in one of the Buffy Season 8 story arc’s they visit Frey’s time…About Promises I have them both picked for the Gangbang challenge next month and they are both so long not sure if I want to try and read them together to get the crying out of the way or separate them and not cry all at once
Can't answer that one for the gangbang challenge-- they're both very different stories--you may want to split them up:-) But I will keep my eye open for the Buffy Season 8 in Frey-- I LOVE the oversweeping, concurrent plot-arcs. I do that a lot, both with Promises and the Little Goddess series, and it makes that universe SO three dimensional in my head.
I love Joss did you watch Firefly? I love your books too but I have only read a few of them last challenge was Bewitched by Bella's Brother and Truth in the Dark and i loved them both and they were not too sad this time though the two Promise books look really emotional, that is good but i always need that extra push before diving into those stories

Actually, going completely bass-frickin-ackwards as always, I started my Joss Whedon worship by watching Serenity in the theaters, and THEN watching Firefly, and THEN getting the family hooked on Buffy reruns and now we're slobbering acolytes in the shadow of his greatness:-)
I'm glad you enjoyed Bella and Truth... I'm particularly proud of Truth--I know it's supposed to be a fairy tale, but to me, it felt very real.
Congrats on finding a home for Living Promises and I look forward to reading it! And...what Ely said :)And I'm sorry to hear about DABWAHA. The time zones don't really work for me, so I missed most of the voting :( But...in all honesty, although I liked Fair Game I would have voted for KPR as it blew my mind...errr, in a good way *grin* (Although there was lots of crying and wailing and knashing of teeth :)
