Move Over Plato!
As most of you know since you are readers and not boob tube watchers, the Platonic objection to democracy is that an uninformed electorate should not be allowed to chose city-state leaders.
American voters are not only uninformed they are misinformed because of the deluge of thousands of 30 second propaganda messages and lies that both parties spew over the commercial boob tube every day.
So what does it matter Mr. Plato if the electorate is uniformed and misinformed when the choices are between troglodytes like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton?
Today there is a critical primary election in New York state that will most likely propel Trump and Hillary into a final choice between unadulterated evil and adulterated evil.
Ahhhh....democracy!

But amigo, my point is that either way Americans will be governed by their inferiors.
Yeah, I get it; till November a lot can happen; plenty of time for Platonics (!) to show their mettle.
