What's on the shelf?

What does your bookshelf say about you?

I was cleaning mine today, and I wondered if the contents gave any hints into my psyche.

I have children's books by Elizabeth Goudge (The Littke White Horse) and Frances Hodgson Burnet (The Secret Garden) standing alongside rather a lot of JD Robb's In Death series, most of Guy Gavriel Kay's fabulous fantasy, several of Bill Bryson's titles, and Janet Evanovitch from One For The Money to Twelve Sharp - that's just one shelf.

I'm sure this has been discussed time and time again, but it's fascinating on a lot of levels. Not least of which is trying to figure out where my writing influences come from.

I've decided it's too complicated to analyse, and maybe it's just what I like to read, but I do know one thing, after my husband and my dog, I'd save my books if the house caught on fire...
