Today is the paperback book birthday of THE DEEPEST BLUE!!! I loved writing this book! So many sea monsters! It's a standalone epic fantasy about a fearless oyster diver who must save her island from an ocean full of bloodthirsty nature spirits. Published by Harper Voyager. Cover art by Larry Rostant. It brings me such joy to see this beauty out in the world! Gwen is pretty excited too, as she considers herself a sea monster at heart!

My NCTE 2019 Schedule

Very excited for NCTE this weekend! I'll be on a panel Fri 11/22 at 3:30pm (see image), and I'll be signing copies of SPARK and ARCs of my upcoming kids book CATALYST (about a girl & her elephant-size cat!) at the HMH booth #711 on Sat 11/23 at 2pm. Hope to see you there!

 

Star Wars Anthology!

So, I've got some news..... As announced yesterday at NY Comic Con, I'm writing a short story for this STAR WARS anthology! So excited!!!

And very excited to show you what came in the mail! An ARC of RACE THE SANDS! I love seeing the ARC for the first time -- it makes me feel like my monster-racing women and their deadly kehok are coming to life. Like they're stepping out of my imagination and are ready to step (or race) into other minds.  I loved writing this book so much, and I can't wait for everyone to meet Tamra, Raia, and their racer!
