Got ourselves a shiny new poll: please vote again

Let us know (we promise this is the last poll for a while) which formats you want to see. This is so we can be sure the mini download includes what it needs to, among other things, and we want to be sure we understand what all of you need/want.

Results on the poll are making a certain sense.

We are probably going to be able to eliminate 2 formats, .pmlz and .tcr, but we need to add .html. Which saves us a little bit of work. But not much. The reader-situation is still not settling into a handful of formats.

The pretty clear winners in the format race are epub and mobi/prc in that order, closely followed by PDF. I have a feeling once we offer .html that's going to be a popular choice also, since with it you can do conversions either in mobi software (Mobipocket Creator) or...

Another invasion has occurred!

I set max width to 1366, which is my monitor width, on which the display of the center column ain't too bad. Lemme know if this improves the appearance on the superhuge monitors!

Green Wyvern reports a vertical display of the Closed Circle menu, with overlaps: we see it as horizontal.

Have we got a problem? Please check and let us know how you see it.Closed Circle home page

I (sob) joined Facebook…

Not that I actually understand what to do with it…but it seemed the logical thing to do, since Jane's on it and Lynn is. The first appearance of things on the Wall was pretty daunting. There's a lot of completely random stuff. A lot…

But if any of you are on Facebook, I'm now out there. One of these days I'll have to get a pic up. Right now I'm Sally Generic and have no Facebook face at all.

motion on the Gold in Arderin front…

The process of writing is, well, a process. It goes for a while, then—it either goes on, or it requires the writer go back and regularize the spellings, or in some cases the names people have, or in some cases give the story the benefit of what the writer learned on page 30….

So I'm letting you in on something most writers don't like to have loose in the world—but I'm old at this, I am not easily embarrassed, and I thought it would be a really good answer to 'how I write' for some, and...

JSF invades WWAS!

Carolyn's gone out like a light and I don't think she read my comment on the disappearing center column, so I just adjusted the blog's minimum width to 800px. If you enlarge the image with the control + command, you should get a fairly nice central column now. Please let us know if it does the trick!

There's a new poll: this is researching whether there are formats we don't need.

You can give up to 4 answers, but please stick to formats that you absolutely need to have for the devices you own.

Rest assured we will not eliminate any format that has a vote. But 13 formats is a big workload when we run a conversion, so if there are any that are absolutely useless, we'd be happy to skip that one. It also would make the FULL download shorter!

The smaller bridge supports have appeared…

OSGuy made a stealth delivery and two beautiful bridge arches have appeared by the driveway. Thank you, OSGuy! We can now join them with 2×4, paint them, and deck them, and we will have the Lesser Glorious Bridge finished!

Teenaged koi…pond destruction.

We cleaned up all the algae. I am going to have to let some grow…because the koi are getting hungry, and we are going to have to feed them often. Bigtime often.

What have our darlings done? Well, our largest, white-gold Ari, patchwork quilt Kenpachi, Renji (pinto orange/white, which is called 'kohaku',) are about 7″ long. Ari is 8″. This is not big for a koi, which reach adulthood at about a foot or two and can grow to three. The spectacle of Ari and Kenpachi up on the pebble beach like...
