From my treatise: “We don’t, it would seem to me, prize human error, because we have a perfectionist ideal about the way that we need to be. This is definitely felt in terms of how we treat those we consider to be irrational. We don’t care that, like Foucault would imply, the human mind is subject to folly because the subject is prone to folly, because that is simply human nature. We have an impossible perfectionist ideal about how a person should be and think, and I think this actually ends up stifling breakthroughs.”
