NaNoWriMo 2020
[image error]Here I go! Cuz, why not. NaNoWriMo started today and so did my gay holiday romance “Shopping on Christmas Eve.” Only 50,000 words to go until December 1.
December 2011: the big holiday is right around the corner and the merchants of Chandler Ridge Mall are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s shopping season a roaring success. But Anton, proprietor of Well Read, is struggling to get in the Yule groove; keeping a used bookstore afloat is a tall order in the age of Amazon. He not so secretly puts part of the blame on Second Chance Tunes, the CD/record store just across the aisle, and its brash manager Mitch. Clearly they’re siphoning away some business from Well Read. There’s just one problem with that attitude: although he sort of hates himself for it, Anton finds himself irresistibly drawn to Mitch. When a freak blizzard forces the sudden evacuation of the mall on Christmas Eve, both guys are accidentally locked inside. Stuck alone together in the empty mall overnight, can they weather the storm and perhaps even find a way to make a love connection?
