Humans are Weird - Caffeine

Caffeine
It can kill humans, it has killed humans, it does kill humans, And yet we still drink it. We drink copious amounts of it and will attack anyone who tries to stop us. We have entire cultures developed around its consumption. There is little to no social stigma attached either. This one is going to be fun to explain to the aliens. 

What Kinds of Cryptids Would Live in a Library

Sasquatch lives in the deep wilderness. 
Werewolves live in occupied forests.
Mothman lives on rural roads.
Trolls live under city bridges. 
Ghosts live in haunted mansions. 

What sort of cryptid lives in a library? What sort of elder creature lives in-between the spaces between the books, creeps quietly past the backs of the reading patrons, crouches in the rafters watching, always watching...?
