New Female Thor Comes with Great Story (and Sales)

Image via Kotaku

I’ve been seeing hints, hoopla, and “backlash” about the new female Thor all over the Twitterverse for several months (the comic was released last October, and STILL people are talking about it). So much so that I almost forgot that it’s possible the some comic book fans out there, who are perhaps too busy eyeing the monochromatic Daredevil adaptation on Netflix, or keeping up with new episodes of The Flash, didn’t know about the character swap at all.

Didn’t really work out that way.

Now that I’ve had some time to think about it, the re...

LOST MEMORIES: Cover and Excerpt

lostmemories-cover-mediumThis is an excerpt from episodetwo of Tales from the Republic .

Lost Memories

by M. G. Herron

A loud crash shook Ari awake.

Dust and debris rained down. Vague shapes and shadows leered through a screen of harsh light. Everything was blurry and the air smelled like antiseptic and mold.

His breath came in shallow gasps.

He closed his eyes, which helped because it blocked out the light and made the room stop spinning, but it did nothing to untangle the knot of anxiety contorting his stomach.

Wher...
