Cesare Mori (22 December 1871 – 5 July 1942) was an Italian prefect (prefetto) before and during the Fascist period in Italy. He is known in Italy as the "Iron Prefect" (Prefetto di Ferro) because of his iron-fisted campaigns against the Mafia in Sicily from 1924 to 1929.

He started his career as a police officer, later he became police commissioner and finally prefect. He adhered to PNF (National Fascist Party) in 1926 although probably he never had political fondness with it. In 1929 Mori was "honorably" removed from his assignment because he was starting to investigate about the associations between Mafia and the high-ranking members of fascist regime.
