Don’t get distracted!
Can we talk about distraction? Satan has done his homework. He knows how to keep us from what we should be doing. See it for what it is and don’t fall for it.
Paul says in Titus 3:14, “Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.”
Learn from Nehemiah and don’t get distracted!

Keep fishing!
We all have a ministry. Whether leading a Bible study, raising a family, or just trying to lead a Christian life, at times it gets hard. We see no return for our effort. Today’s reminder is to keep putting the net down even if we didn’t get a catch all night (week, year!) The results are in God’s hand. We just need to keep fishing!

Lord,
Prepare my heart for Christmas.
Prepare my heart to serve like Mary’s. Let me serve my family, my friends, neighbors and even strangers, willfully without worry of inconvenience.
Prepare my heart to worship like the angels. Let me joyfully proclaim Your goodness, not just in hymns, but throughout my day.
Prepare my heart to encourage like the shepherds, pointing people to the source of hope and joy.
Prepare my heart to give like the wisemen, generously and gratefully.
Prepare my heart for Christmas. Prepare my heart for You.
Amen.
