Story Weekend: School Bus Tales

Do you have an interesting story that took place on a school bus? If so, we’d love to hear about it!http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photos-yellow-school-bus-image2688143

If you’re new to Story Weekend, here’s how it works: I pick a theme and you share something from your life that relates to that theme, however you interpret it. Thanks to all of you who’ve contributed. As always, there are a few “rules”:

▪ The story must be true

▪ Try to keep it under 100 words. Embrace the challenge! That’s about six or seven lines in the comment form. I want others to read your story, and most people tend to skip if it’s too long. I know how tough it is to “write tight” but I hope you’ll accept this as a challenge.

http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-stained-carpet-paint-brush-closeup-image35417150 Story Weekend is back, and to celebrate, let’s have a giveaway! I’ve been madly working on next year’s book which has sapped all my time, but I’ve missed hearing your stories, so here goes. This week’s topic is Remodeling Gone Wrong. I’d love to hear your Remodeling Gone Wrong story. I’ll use a random number generator to pick an entry to win one of my audio books. Good luck!

Story Weekend: Sushi (and a giveaway)

http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photography-sushi-rolls-image24516037I admit it: I don’t love sushi. (I also don’t love goat cheese or pork belly. Clearly, my culinary tastes haven’t yet caught up to the twenty-first century). But I bet most of you have sushi stories to share and we’d love to hear them. I have an extra copy of the French edition of The Good Father, titled Une Vie Plus Belle, to give away. Even if you don’t read French, I think this adorable cover is worth a spot on your bookshelf! At 10pm EST Monday night (September 8th), I’ll use a random number generator to pick one of your sushi stories to win a copy of Bella’s story.
