Postcards From Barnesville

As a creative whose main outlet is writing, what happens when the writing just isn't happening? I still need to be creative to feel happy and content. So, instead of struggling with stories that are giving me fits, I have turned to another outlet. I'm creating audio short stories featuring the works I already have out there for free, that have appeared in anthologies in the past, or are pieces I've shared with almost nobody. I'm calling this work, "Postcards From Barnesville". Not all the stories are set in the Barnesville universe from my novels, but some of them are. The first episode will be releasing soon so stay tuned for more details.

Open That Box!

Those who have known me a long time, know I can be quite the tight-wad when it comes to money. I'd rather save if than spend it. But ... sometimes a girl just has to treat herself. This was one of those times.

The Cold

I wrote a short story back in 2019 based on a suggestion and a title from my husband. I've never done anything with it, shared it with anyone, or submitted it to anywhere for possible publication.

I decided this morning to share it for free on my blog, a kind of Holiday gift for my fellow Horror-loving friends and fans. I hope you all have a wonderful Winter Holiday! Stay warm.

Shades of Gray - Dark Poetry

The saddest video I've ever made, so much so that I've included a Trigger Warning. It features a poem I wrote in the late 1980s and contains elements of death, grief, and suicide.
