Audiobook for The Interview: Law Firm Erotica

Hi there:

So, I’m in the process of having an audiobook made for “The Interview: Law Firm Erotica Book I.”  It’s the first time I’ve had an audiobook produced of my work. I’m finding the entire process fascinating.

I’m learning so much so fast about the publishing world as I go that it’s crazy.  I didn’t even know they made audiobooks of short stories or audiobooks that were less than an hour long. Hell, it wasn’t until just before I published “The Interview: Law Firm Erotica Book I” that I learned there was a whole category for erotic shorts on Amazon and other sites.

I started out by registering on ACX.com and putting up a script (a portion of the book) for auditions.  In the process, I filled out a short online form about what type of voice actor I would like (i.e. male of female), what type of voice I would like for the narration (i.e. adult, sultry, versatile), and how much of a budget I had for the project.  Then, I waited for voice actresses to send me audition files.

It was really amazing to listen to the audition recordings and hear my words come to life.   I’ve got to say that I got really lucky on this project.  One of the first actresses who auditioned seems perfect for the part.  Even Sir, who insists that I should narrate the story myself because he likes my voice and thinks its sexy, said the piece was hot.  So I hired her.

Wish me luck that the project goes smoothly and the actress turns out to be as great as I think she is. If it works out, I’m going to want to have her do the entire series.  Don’t you just love when there is a good synergy between the author and the voice actress on a series of audiobooks?  I know I do.

The Interview: Law Firm Erotica Gets Good Reviews

I can’t tell you how happy I am that The Interview: Law Firm Erotica continues to get good reviews.  Drue’s Random Chatter just released its review last week calling the  story “a very good short read.”  The reviewer said that she “really enjoyed this book” and the author “has a knack for getting me more than just a little hot!”  You can see the full review here:  http://druesrandomchattersreviews.blogspot.com/2014/10/review-interview-law-firm-erotica-book.html 

I love it when I do my job well (which I define as entertaining my readers and leaving them a bit hot and bothered).  It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Seriously though, although the feedback I’ve received on the Interview: Law Firm Erotica has been limited (I would love to have more people enjoy the story and leave reviews), it has been very positive, which puts pressure on me to make the next installment in the Law Firm Erotica Series the very best it can be.  If I think about that too much it will paralyze me.  So I won’t.  I’ll just continue to plot out the sequel and whip out the book (we wouldn’t want Sir to step in and turn that whip on me otherwise).

On that note, I’m off to write.  Until next time.

Fetish and Fantasy Costumes Can Add Spice

Cover Reveal: “The Interview: Law Firm Erotica”

Hi there.  This is the official cover reveal for “The Interview: Law Firm Erotica” (Book I) – the kickoff short story to my Law Firm Erotica series.

Last week, I finally finished writing the erotic B.D.S.M./spanking short story and got it into the hands of my outside editor.  Since this will be my first published erotic short story, and this editor is very experienced in the genre, I was really nervous about how she would perceive  it.  In fact, I was on pins and needles the whole time she had it.  So you can imagine my relief when she contacted me to tell me that she liked my story and that it would fit right in with B.D.S.M. erotica enthusiasts’ expectations.

In hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have been so nervous.  After all, I too am a spanking erotica reader and I know what I like.  But still, I guess it’s natural to feel a little anxiety when it’s your work being judged.  Anyway, depending on how much revision the story needs, the plan is to publish it by November.  In the  meantime, check out the cover that Sir put together for the book:
