OjO–> VM Burns

Burns OjO(1) Wed Read Dead cover

Authors that write more than one series at a time always impress me. Valerie, VM Burns, writes three! Born in Indiana, she now lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with two poodles that look an awful lot like the dogs on the covers of her Mystery Bookshop series.

Plotting and writing a full-length story is not easy. It is time consuming and often leads to late nights or early mornings staring into the mocking glow of a computer screen alone. Why do you write? Is it affliction or solace?

Honestly,...

OjO->Carolyn Wilkins

Carolyn Wilkins headshot OjO(1) Mojo_FrontLG_6-25-16

Carolyn Marie Wilkins has a great cover on Mojo for Murder and a great name for her main character, Bertie Bigelow. The second in the series features a Jamaican psychic and a  hot sauce king. If that doesn’t entice you to read it I don’t know what will. Carolyn is a jazz pianist and a professor at Berklee College of Music.

The Divide - eBook OjO(1) J L Brown_headshots-2

J.L. Brown’s third novel in the Jade Harrington series is set to drop May 9th. J.L. is a political junkie that writes political thrillers. Who would have guessed?! What you might not have guessed unless you read her blog is that she is a big sports fan from futbol to football (the British kind) to football (the American kind) and all the other ball sports, too.

OjO–> Cheryl A. Head

Cheryl Head was recently induced into the Saints & Sinners Hall of Fame. Isn’t the coolest name for a writer’s festival? Cheryl is very active in the writing community–especially the crime fiction genre and  LGBTQ literary organizations. Her Charlie Mack Mystery series is on Bywater Books. I had the good luck to meet her at Bouchercon 2018. She is dynamic and a pay-it-forward type person. I hope you get to know her via this interview if you are not already a fan of her PI novels.
