Dessert Recipe for The 12 Days of Christmas

On the 9th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me....

Peanut Butter Balls, a Giveaway, and Love Redesigned by Sloane B. Collins!

Be sure to scroll down to enter our giveaway and read all about Love Redesigned.

Peanut butter balls by Sophia Kimble

Peanut Butter Balls  Ingredients:

1 cup peanut butter

6 tablespoons butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

16 ounces chocolate candy coating

In bowl, stir together peanut butter and butter. Gradually add sugar, stirring until combined. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls and put onto wax paper on cookie sheet. Let stand 20 minutes in refrigerator.

Peanut butter balls by Sophia Kimble

Melt candy coating either on stove with low heat stirring constantly, or buy the microwavable kind (much easier). Dip and roll balls in candy coating. Let excess chocolate drip off (I use two spoons and roll back and forth like separating an egg white). Place onto wax paper. Let stand until firm. Store tightly covered in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.

Peanut butter balls by Sophia Kimble

*This only makes about 25, so I double or triple the recipe.

*I like to get white vanilla candy coating and make some of each, then drizzle the tops with the opposite color of coating.

Keep refrigerated until ready to serve...I like to make a nice display for my guests. Be creative, and make sure you have plenty on hand, because these go fast.

They taste just like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Enjoy!

Love Redesigned by Sloan Collins on Sophia Kimble

Give American cake artist Genevieve Haywood a picture of anything, and she’ll turn it into a sweet and decadent creation. She’s not going to let hard work or competition stop her from opening her dream business. But when she’s hired as the cake artist for her cousin’s wedding in France, she never expected to run into the French fashion designer who broke her heart fifteen years ago.

Roman Duchaine is done with living life in the fast lane. Tired of being in the haute couture spotlight, he’s moved back to the small French village where he was born and raised.
Roman’s ready to settle down and have a family until the lost love of his life arrives for his cousin’s wedding. Seeing her reminds him just how devastating falling in love can be.

Their fragile truce is meant to last through the wedding, yet every second together makes their attraction and long-buried feelings undeniable. But old habits and hurts die hard, and while Roman is ready to weave their lives together, Genevieve can't afford to lose herself in his shadow.

Favorite Holiday Song for The 12 Days of Christmas

On the 8th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

A Holiday Song, a Giveaway, and Jessica Jefferson Taming Miss Tisdale!

Be sure to scroll down to enter the giveaway, and read all about Taming Miss Tisdale.

My all time favorite holiday song is The Little Drummer Boy.

Taming Miss Tisdale by Jessica Jefferson on Sophia Kimble

Miss Tamsin Tisdale believes herself to be completely unsuitable for London life. After a myriad of social mishaps, and the potential ruination of her family name, she’s shipped away to her cousin’s northern estate. Only after she accepts the type of existence Society dictates she must follow will she be welcomed home.

Marcus Winston, the Duke of Grayson, has a lackluster reputation. The last in a dying line, he’s endured a protected life—rank with privilege, but encumbered by isolation. After a brief encounter with rebellion, he learns the devastating consequences of his carelessness and willingly accepts living life from inside his gilded cage.

However, a chance meeting with the brazen Miss Tisdale gives Marc the opportunity to reinvent himself into the man he’s always dreamed of being. But when his deception comes to light, and ghosts from both their pasts threaten to unravel the intimacy they’ve come to cherish, will either of them set their fears aside long enough to embrace love? Or will Miss Tisdale’s stubbornness divide them?

I really love this book. Be sure to pick up your copy today!

Ten years later she was working as a registered nurse and reading historical romance when she decided to give writing another go-round.

Jessica writes likes she speaks - which has a tendency to be fast paced and humorous. She is heavily inspired by sweeping, historical romance novels, but aims to take those key emotional elements and inject a fresh blend of quick dialogue and comedy.

Recipe Tips

How to Easily Dip Cookie Balls: To easily coat cookie balls with the melted chocolate, add balls, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Use 2 forks to roll balls in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove balls with forks, letting excess chocolate drip back into bowl. Place balls in prepared pan; let stand until chocolate coating is firm.

Note: If any melted chocolate remains after all balls are coated, store in tightly covered container at room temperature until ready to use for another use.

Be sure to scroll down to enter our giveaway, and read about Who Wants to Marry a Doctor.

Tree Decorating Tip by Sophia Kimble

This year I have named my real Christmas tree, The Beast.

It is a nine foot tall Fraser Fur, and really fat with beautiful tips. It takes up a huge chunk of the family room.

I'm going to give you a tip that my good friend, Carolyn gave me many years ago.

When decorating a real tree, wrap the trunk with a strand of lights first, before you do anything else!

Tree decorating tip by Sophia Kimble

It will give your tree depth, and you will then be able to add ornaments way back inside your tree.

This will give your viewers little nooks and crannies of viewing pleasure.

Why You Should Join The RWA by Samantha Wyatt, and a Giveaway!

I’ve been posting editing tips on my blog for months. I’ve seen several authors offer tips on Goal-Motivation-Conflict, Edits, Research, World Building, Character Sketch …So today I decided I would offer a word of advice that may not sound like a writing tip, but is beneficial to any author who wants to be the best they can be.

romance writers of america on sophia kimble

If you are not already a member of RWA, join! So much information is available. From there you learn to do a number of things. You can join chapter groups, critique groups, you’ll find friends are eager to offer help. There is nothing like shared information between members and you make so many friends. Take every workshop available—GMC, POV, character interviews, etc. Everything imaginable is offered. So many talented teachers/authors/presenters willing to show you how to make a better manuscript. Learn as much as you can. It will show in your writing.

Samanthya Wyatt

I don’t have to tell any writer how difficult it is to find time to put words to paper, let alone create them in your mind. When you need a lift, or you are down about your writing, reach out. Everyone has been there. Authors rally with encouragement and give inspiration in abundance. Whatever it takes to boost your confidence.Enter contests and keep your mind open. Take criticism as constructive. Make your writing better. Don’t expect success overnight. It is a long, hard process. If you are determined, keep trying.

Don’t give up.

It took years of putting words on paper, joining RWA, joining other chapters, entering contests, submissions, rejections. Every one of these things created the author I am today. Keeping my spirit and turning criticism into drive.

I get a lot of joy from creating new characters and bringing them together in a romantic tale. I’m thrilled to announce “The True One” is available at amazon December 17th.

Something More by Samanthya Wyatt on sophia Kimble

A determined man, a headstrong woman, and a battle of wills.

Matthew longs for a woman to share his life, not his bank account. He owns a prestigious company that he rules with an iron fist. On his way to an important meeting, a light flirtation turns into more than he expects. He meets a woman with more confidence and strength than most men. Long legs get his attention, but Carrie attracts his interest. The alluring beauty does not need his money, and makes it clear she does not need him. He accepts the unspoken challenge.

Carrie trusts no man. An executive partner, she possesses a confidence that makes her assertive and her aggressiveness toward the male gender is somewhat intimidating. Until a pair of mischievous eyes melts her defenses, and has her second guessing her convictions. The day he shoved her into that cab he must have chiseled a chink in her armor. Matthew charges into her well organized life, cracks the stone wall she’s built and instills an emotion she swore never to allow.

Infatuation and excitement spark a journey of passion and forbidden emotion where two people must overcome their earlier convictions to find an everlasting love.

Samanthya Wyatt on Sophia Kimble

Samanthya Wyatt loves a good romance story. Ideas were persistently running through her head, so she began writing in hopes to one day see her own book sitting on a shelf.
Samanthya lives with her husband in the Shenandoah Valley. She left her accounting career and married a military man traveling and raising her children in the United States and abroad. Samanthya loves a good book, a good joke, and her playful, witty husband. She enjoys long walks on the beach, and adores her grandchildren.
Although historical is her first love, she appreciates contemporary romance and enjoys penning a story with strong characters, a bit of humor, and active scenes. She invites you to lay the worries of the world off your shoulders and get lost in the pages of a romance, where you embark on a journey with the hero and heroine, become involved in a dream, plunge into a world of fantasy, and live an adventure your heart can share.

I love to hear from readers. Please visit my website

You can also find Samanthya Wyatt on facebook, goodreads, Jimmy Thomas (the model on the cover) and amazon.

Pretending with The Playboy by Tracey Livesay

Commitment makes you weak. It's playboy Carter Richardson's motto. The only exception to the rule is his aunt, and when Carter learns she's terminally ill, he rushes to her bedside. Filled with fear and guilt—and desperate to ease his aunt's mind—Carter does the only thing a guy could do...he panics and blurts out that he's engaged to his aunt's enticing protegée.

Lauren Olsen has already had her heart crushed once by Carter. Against her better judgment, she agrees to keep up appearances—until Carter makes their “engagement” public in order to protect the family business. Now Lauren's torn between obeying her conscience, and obeying her desire. Because while she could never trust the womanizing Carter she once knew, she seems to be falling for the man beneath the playboy...
