Daughter of Darkness Upcoming Releases
UPDATE: I’ve gone ahead and canceled the Daughter of Darkness releases for next month with no set date yet to follow. They will not go back up for preorder. When I am able to fit them in my release schedule once again, I’ll just go ahead and release them. Remember, if you already pre-ordered them the order will just be canceled by the vendor. Thanks, everyone for being amazingly understanding about all of this.
Reason why the Daughter of Darkness Trilogoy will not be re-releasing at this time:
This just in…shingles SUCK
Just over a week ago I was battling a nasty ear infection. I assumed that was the worst of everything and that all would go back to normal.
Cut to several days ago.
I woke up with my right eye swollen shut and the upper side of my face puffy. Since I take weekly allergy shots and the dust and mold pollens have been high in my area, I thought it was from that so I just used a cold compress and upped my allergy meds.
Unfortunately, this didn’t help and I ended up in urgent care. Since I wasn’t presenting any other signs, they assumed nasty allergies too and gave me a steroid shot, some steroids for the road, and an antibiotic.
I felt a bit better for about 36 hours. Then I woke up to it all being worse and blisters that were gross on my eyelid, eyebrow, forehead, and into my hair along with massive swelling–and a lot of pain. I went straight to my doctor’s office and saw the nurse practitioner.
He did blood work and took a culture of the blister areas but his gut was telling him I have shingles. Still, he grabbed the doc to get another opinion. She came in and felt it was shingles too so they started me on anti-viral meds and told me to keep taking the steroids and antibiotic. (They will reach out if its anything more.)
I woke up the next morning and my eye wasn’t swollen shut and my face isn’t as puffy. Yay!
I have gross blisters on my face still that look like they’re starting to dry up and it feels like I have spiders crawling all over my face and in my hair LOL. Plus, I’ll be honest, the area still hurts to touch. And I’m having issues with light sensitivity and some eye pain (and am trying to get into an ophthalmologist who all just happen to be on spring break here in Oxford, MS).
With all of that said, I’m fine and this too shall pass.
But it has knocked me behind on my schedule so I’m canceling the upcoming Daughter of Darkness releases to be sure the BEST product goes out, not one that got half of my attention in the eleventh hour. I know a lot of you have been waiting for these and I’m soooo sorry. I don’t know when I’ll be able to get them released because they’ll need to do so around my already set up release schedule, but at some point, they will come out.
None of this will delay upcoming ops releases, druid releases, cozy releases, king of prey releases, etc. This is just hitting me during the set-aside Daughter time.
No one who has already preordered the new Daughter of Darkness releases will be charged. The order is just canceled.
I’m in talks with the vendors (Amazon etc) right now and they are being totally amazing!
I knew very little about shingles before this. It would seem my immune system was weakened and that, combined with stress, more than likely set this off.
As I said before, I’m totally fine, this just blows LOL.
I really hope everyone understands.

I’ll have news about a brand new Druid book release and the next ops release very soon (the druid book may even release by the end of the month, it’s something I’ve been working on for nearly a year and wanted to surprise you all with). Be on the lookout for that.
