Health Care Survey Shows Employers May Cut Plans After 2014 (VIDEO)

Source: Alan Farnham / ABC News Employees can kiss goodbye employer-provided health coverage, at least as it exists today. That's the message of a survey of 1,300 employers just released by McKinsey & Co. Overall, 30 percent of employers said that after 2014, when most of the provisions of the Obama administration's health reforms kick in, they would definitely or probably stop offering company-sponsored health coverage. The findings dramatically differ from those of previous surveys and analysis. The Congressional Budget [...]

Weiner's Lies, Not Tweets, Did Him In

If anyone can qualify for the phrase "stuck on stupid," it's Rep. Anthony Weiner. This story was a benign and silly one for me from the beginning. OK, the New York congressman said his Twitter account had been hacked, that he really wasn't the one who sent that picture to the woman in Seattle. It has happened before. But what was crazy was listening to him give a different explanation over and over. I was bugged with that, and it [...]

Source: Blake Ellis / CNN Money New York – The number of Americans filing for first-time unemployment benefits rose again and stayed above the 400,000 mark for the ninth consecutive week. While a level below 400,000 is typically associated with payroll growth, claims have now topped this mark for the last nine weeks. There were 427,000 initial jobless claims filed in the week ended June 4, the Labor Department said Thursday. That was up 1,000 from the week before, and [...]

Winnie Mandela On Biopic Starring Jennifer Hudson: I Wasn't Consulted (VIDEO)

Source: CNN Winnie Madikizela-Mandela still isn't supporting a film about her life starring Jennifer Hudson, but she tells CNN that it has nothing to do with the Oscar winning actress. "I have absolutely nothing against Jennifer, but I have everything against the movie itself," she told CNN's Nadia Bilchik. The film, titled "Winnie," has sparked controversy not only because an American was cast in the role rather than a South African actor, but also because Mandela sought to impede the film's production. [...]
