Sleeping in the Bed of the (1966 C-10) Chevy

Thanks to E.P. Akerblom, fellow LCC Old Boy,  for the heads-up on this, though I don't know how he found Cuttin' Up Radio, which seems to be all about Texas cuttin' horses, and barrel-racin' gals, from his perch in Bergamo

Mille Bornes

From Don Culbertson, medical man of Marfa:
"Mille Bornes is a classic French card game, classically French because there is very little action, and strict adherence to rules. The winner needs to accumulate 1000 miles before other players can throw obstacles in the way such as car wrecks, running out of gas, flat tires. A game of both chance and skill, it is satisfying and appropriate for all ages. Happy motoring"-DGC

American Houses: More Three-Deckahs, Munjoy Hill, Portland ME

The Hill, in Portland's East End, has always been an Irish/Italian naybuhood. It's been getting tuned up in recent years: the housing stock is mixed, but there are three-deckers on every block. Sort of milder, Maine version of Somerville, Mass., but with excellent views of Portland's working harbor. You can find a bunch more three-deckers (and a couple of fours) on our earlier post. Or Google autoliterate munjoy hill & you'll see even more of the neighborhood.
