Hardworking c.1956 Dodge C-series

From Markus Anstadt, in Colorado. There was a that '57 Dodge pickup we posted from PA last week, and several other trucks are linked in that post.

1979 Ford F-350

The retired ranch truck that David Branch has been organizing in Texas. We  have posted on it before. These are West Texas desert trucks that people want in the Northeast. Gotta figure out how to make the numbers work.

Land Rover Defender. Los Angeles (Mar Vista)

Is the Defender name suggestive of socio-autoparanoia? Like the Nissan Armada? We counted lots of very beefy Land Rovers the year we lived in The Netherlands.

Down by the harbor on a standard-issue February day in SB. We posted another C20 of the era from Los Angeles (Mar Vista).

And maybe you caught the same-era C30 squarebody we posted from Maine last week.

International S-180

From Colin Washburn, in California. "Lonely, old beat-up Cornbinder down in the Central Valley, where the Almond trees are blossoming in their tens-of-thousands. What’s the weird window thing on the roof? Any guesses?"

2 Ford Rangers, Los Angeles (Mar Vista)

Rangers once made excellent, good-sized wheelbarrow trucks.  Ford would rather show them climbing mountains. Stupid. Like so much else in America of late, Rangers have gotten huge, and faux-manly.

1963 (or 1964) Mercury Montclair

I persuaded my father to buy a 1965 Montclair. It was a great car, in between our dysfunctional 1962 Pontiac Laurentian and the problem-child 1968 Chrysler Newport Custom. Caught this Texas survivor in Somerville MA. Here's a surfer Montclair we posted from Capitola CA. And some photos of the 1965 Montclair.

c.1964 Ford F100. Santa Barbara, Calif.

Another Ford F100 we posted, same era, from Richmond, Virginia. And this one in St Johnsbury, Vermont. Then there was the 1965 Ford Galaxy 500 convertible...but don't get us started
