Neon Sign Amber by Tanaka Ogeretsu

Yuusuke Ogata has never been good at conveying his feelings through his face, leading him to be misunderstood by his previous girlfriends as emotionless. While working as a bodyguard at a nightclub, Yuusuke meets a regular named Masaki Saya, a male gyaru known for picking up women on a daily basis. In the morning, Yuusuke runs into Masaki again—drunk and asleep in front of a love hotel—and begrudgingly helps him.

Much to Yuusuke's surprise, Masaki is a lot more likable than he seems and can even read his facial expressions. After Yuusuke lends him money, Masaki returns the favor by cooking him a meal every morning. As the two further interact, Yuusuke begins to take an interest in Masaki and discovers an unexpected side of him.

Iberico Pork by Shoowa

They may look like bad news, but these rough-and-tumble guys are the helpful Iberico Pigs, a local trash pick-up gang! In the aftermath of shaking off a pushy stalker, Yoshimune, the Pigs' second in command, agrees to a fling with fellow member Genji. But past trauma and old hurts cause things to take a turn for the awkward, and when it doesn't work out, Yoshimune fully expects that to be the end of the 'benefits' part of their friendship.

But now that he's had a taste, the strong and stoic Genji only has eyes for Yoshimune... and for his part, Yoshimune has never had anyone touch or treat him with such careful consideration before. Can the two of them find a way to turn the tentative intimacy between them into something more?

Double Mints (2017)

 Double Mints was very dark and very hard (pun intended). The story between the two Mitsuo Ichikawa is not a love story it's an obsession. What the bad Mitsuo does to the good Mitsuo in high school, is only then reflected in what the good Mitsuo will do to the bad Mitsuo in adult life. From hurt to hurt it's an escalation of pain, but it seems these two men cannot stay away from each other. I'm not sure this is an HEA, I don't think they will manage to not kill themself one day or another, but at least, for the moment, they managed. I didn't have the courage to read the manga. Heat Level: 6/6.

Does the Flower Bloom? (2018)

 Does the Flower Bloom? is a very slow Japanese movie (like almost all the Japanese movie I have seen), but at least the story is not tragic and even if it's not fluffy, the romance is sort of sexy and real. I don't get all the rumor about the age difference between the two characters, yes, it's there (37 against 19), but teenager Yoichi Mizukawa is living alone, managing is house as a boarding house, and renting the garden for various event. He is not an ordinary teenager with a privileged and protected life, he is there, out in the world, trying to make his living. Therefore I didn't feel much the age gap between them. Said that, this movie, and the original manga, are a little broody and moody, so they don't have my full approval rate. It's good but not the best. HEA (sort of). Heat Level: 3/6.

'Cause You're My Boy (2018)

 'Cause You're My Boy is not good but is not bad, if you can understand me. I think whent it was made, 5 years ago, it was quite breaking barriers, and I give it bonus point for it. The setting is very poor, but that is sort of in line with the plot, since these are very ordinary, low level society characters. The actors are sort of raw, but is also true they are mostly to their first experiences, and they will grew to become stable actors in the BL series. Moreover the plot gives the idea this is a more compex story, while instead it's pretty ordinary, and Mork is not at all the bad boy you can imagine from the plot and the cover, as Tee is not an angel. HEA. You can see it on Youtube. Heat Level: 3/6.
