Seven tales of the lost, forgotten, ignored, and overlooked... The Red Shoes by Angel Propps The victim of downsizing, stuck working for a miserable boss at a fancy boutique, Karen is forced to work late one night. While stocking, she comes across a pair of stunning red stilettos that she can't resist putting on-or anything else that they urge her to do. True Love by Diana Jean Gaius, much to the frustration of his mother, has always worked hard to lead a drama-free life: avoid royal conflict, stay far away from court gossip, accept the unglamorous position of Head Librarian at the Royal College. Apparently all it takes to ruin a lifetime of effort is a charmed ring, a sovereign, and a princess. At least his mother will be pleased. The Pig Hunt by Sandra Bard Clint knows that Lucian Wolf is to blame for the destruction of his brothers' home, but confronting him on the matter turns up complications. The situation is not helped by the way Lucian starts turning up on his doorstep, because no matter how nice he appears, the rich, handsome ones never go for fat, unremarkable Clint. The Dragon of Bellerose Island by Sasha L. Miller Politics are dangerous, a fact Leandre failed to appreciate until too late. Kidnapped by his rival, and abandoned on the mysterious Bellerose Island, he expects to be one more body that no one will ever find. But he didn't expect the island's sole occupant... The White Cat by H.R. Harrison When their ailing father bids his sons complete three tasks to decide who will inherit the throne, the first two are decidedly unhappy, but Yufitri is ecstatic at the chance to go adventuring and escape his oppressive family. Far beyond the Northern Sea, he explores a land like nothing he's ever encountered, and finds a mysterious white cat who causes him to question what it is he really wants... Bad Romance by Remy Jensen The kingdom of Ontovia is at war with the neighboring Terra. Prince Adrian's father has kept him hidden away for his own safety, but Adrian lives a secret life that includes a weakness for attractive men and a penchant for domination. During one of his illicit trysts, Adrian captures the interest of a young man from Terra. The man invites him to become the sexual consort of the enemy king, but the opportunity to get close to the enemy to destroy him instead proves to be a battle that anyone could win-or everyone could lose. Tommelise by Diana Jean Unexpectedly made lady-in-waiting to Tommelise, a girl no larger than a thumb, Cecile quickly learns that the girl she grew up hearing about is in reality nothing but a spoiled brat. But Cecile is one of seven daughters, and her place is precarious at best. If she cannot manage to build a life serving a spoiled, ungrateful princess, she'll be shipped off to suffer an even worse fate. The Cursebreaker by Sasha L. Miller Heart is a cursebreaker, and good at what he does. But cursebreaking isn't exactly a thriving business, which means between jobs he makes charms to sell in his gaudy shop. Cursebreaking can also be a dangerous job, one that's left Heart to learn the hard way that no matter how much Ace professes to be an earnest suitor, he'll eventually change his mind just like all the rest...

Starting from June 1, 2015, I will daily feature authors attending the three conventions I will join, Euro Pride in Munich (July), UK Meet in Bristol (September) and GRL in San Diego (October).
For the GRL in San Diego, October 15-18, 2015, today author is J.H. Knight: J.H. Knight has been writing love stories since the second grade. When she’s not catering to the whims of her imaginary friends (whom she sometimes refers to as “characters”), she’s usually found driving her four children all over the planet, working on a school project, or saying things like “Not until your homework is done!”
A Pacific Northwest native, she loves the outdoors in every season whether she’s in the city, in the mountains, or building sloppy sandcastles with her kids on the beach. On her best days, she’s cuddled up with a good book, and on her worst days she’s tearing her hair out as she tries to decide if her sentence needs a comma or a semi-colon. She gratefully bows down in awe of editors, since she usually gets it wrong.

Tommy O’Shea is raising his seven younger brothers and sisters without any help from his drug abusing father and stepmother. Since he was fifteen years old, he's managed to keep the children fed and out of foster care. It takes up every ounce of his energy and the last thing he needs is romance complicating his life further.
Rookie cop Bobby McAlister doesn't belong in Tommy’s harsh world, but Tommy can’t push him out. As their unlikely friendship turns into a tentative relationship, they weather the daily storm of Tommy’s life with a lot of laughs and more than a few arguments.
Tommy isn't used to trusting outsiders, and he's never asked for help in his life. But when a tragedy strikes the O'Shea family and threatens everything he's fought for, he'll have to learn to do both to recover from the brutal hit.

On the search for a cup of coffee before the guest lecture he's giving, Tom spies a tired, half-frozen young man who looks even more in need of coffee than him. On impulse, he buys the man a cup—but an attempt to strike up conversation ends in the young man walking off, seemingly put off by Tom Walford—the tabloids' favourite billionaire—buying him coffee. But when he reappears in Tom's lecture, all Tom knows is that he doesn't want the man slipping away a second time. Agreeing to dinner with a man he only knows from internet gossip columns isn't the wisest decision Cin's ever made, but he wants to like the infamous Tom Walford and he can't do that if he doesn't give the man a fair chance to be likeable. Which he is, almost frustratingly so, to the point Cin wishes maybe he hadn't been so fair because he never had any intention of getting attached to Tom, who seems to come from a world far too different from his own for anything between them to last. Little does Cin know, they've got a lot more in common than he imagines—including their shared discomfort with their assigned genders, and all the complications that go with it.

GRL: Kim Fielding
Starting from June 1, 2015, I will daily feature authors attending the three conventions I will join, Euro Pride in Munich (July), UK Meet in Bristol (September) and GRL in San Diego (October).
For the GRL in San Diego, October 15-18, 2015, today author is Kim Fielding: Kim Fielding lives in California and travels as often as she can manage. A professor by day, at night she rushes into a phonebooth to change into her author costume (which involves comfy clothes instead of Spandex and is, sadly, lacking a cape). Her superpowers include the ability to write nearly anywhere, often while simultaneously doling out homework assistance to her children. Her favorite word to describe herself is "eclectic" and she finally got that third tattoo.
All royalties from her novels Stasis, Flux and Equipoise are donated to Doctors Without Borders.

Carter Evans is founder and editor-in-chief of Astounding!―a formerly popular spec fiction magazine currently in its death throes. Not only can he do nothing to save it, but stuck in a rathole apartment with few interpersonal connections, he can’t seem to do much to rescue his future either. And certainly all the booze isn’t helping. He snaps when he receives yet another terrible story submission from the mysterious writer J. Harper―and in a drunken haze, Carter sends Harper a rejection letter he soon regrets.
J. Harper turns out to be John Harper, a sweet man who resembles a ’50s movie star and claims to be an extraterrestrial. Despite John’s delusions, Carter’s apology quickly turns into something more as the two lonely men find a powerful connection. Inexplicably drawn to John, Carter invites him along on a road trip. But as they travel, Carter is in for some big surprises, some major heartbreak… and just maybe the promise of a good future after all.
