Insane or inspired?
Today I'm being interviewed over at Alison Morton's blog, about my career history, inspirations and, of course, the lovely Major Harker. Pop over and see!
And once you've read about the delicious Harker, you can buy him--for this week only--on Kindle for less than a pound! It's National Chocolate Week, you see, so at Choc Lit we're celebrating with a few special offers.

AWOL
I've been in hiding this last week while I sort out edits on Run Rabbit Run, and now I'm having a well-deserved break...except that as we speak I'm emailing the files to my iPad. Whoops!
See you next week...

Inside Sophie Green's mind
You know, I'm not sure Sophie's mind is somewhere I really want to be. It's a bit odd if you ask me. But if you want to see what happens inside the head of a dizzy blonde (apart from tumbleweed rolling around) then maybe you'd like to follow her on Twitter @TheSophieGreen. Come on, you know you want to.
I mean, if you don't she might start shooting people.

Choc Lit Writers Workshop
Next Thursday, 29th September, I will be taking part in a Writers Workshop in Guildford, along with my fellow Choc Lit-eers Juliet Archer, Sue Moorcroft, Christina Courtenay, and Margaret James. We will endeavour to answer your questions on writing and publishing, and on our books of course! And there will be chocolate. There's always chocolate.
The event takes place at the Appleseed Bookshop,

Ask the Author
I fancy a bit of an impromptu Q&A today. Yesterday I was at Victoria Library, talking about The Untied Kingdom (it's hard to get me to stop), but it was quite a small audience and I thought I might open it up a bit. So...
If you're on Twitter, ask @K8JohnsonAuthor anything you like about The Untied Kingdom, using #theuntiedkingdom hashtag if you wish.

A slightly big occasion
If you've been following my twitterings lately, you may have seen that my brother got married last week. As he's my only sibling, it was quite a big occasion--as Monica & Ross Geller's parents put it, "It may be the only wedding we get to throw." (But that's just because Richard Armitage hasn't met me yet).
So last week was pretty busy, as alongside all the last minute preparations we also had

Things I didn't know about my hero
So, when I sent Run Rabbit Run to Choc Lit one of the first things they asked for was the hero's point of view. If you've read the Sophie Green books you'll know they're all first-person from Sophie's POV, so this obviously wasn't a small task. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised it was just what the book needed to flesh it out.

Run Rabbit Run
So, you know how I teased you with the possibility of a new book contract? Well, I've just signed it. It's with Choc Lit, for Run Rabbit Run, a brand spanking new Sophie Green Mystery.
When Luke Sharpe's phone rang in the invisible hours of the morning he knew it was one of two things. Either work, which meant some sort of crisis, or Sophie, which meant some sort of crisis.Straightaway,

Where I'm At
Where I'm at is, obviously, a grammatical nightmare, but you know what I mean. I thought I'd do a little post to tell you all what I'm up to, writing wise.
My current release is--and I may not have mentioned this for about twenty seconds--The UnTied Kingdom, my cheerfully insane story of a third-world England, a washed-up popstar and the sexiest man to ever say, "I don't see no bugger else

Your Cat magazine
Today is the 15th August, which means that the new edition of Your Cat magazine is now out in stores, and you should all go and buy a copy. Not just because it's a fab magazine with lots of advice, information, and utterly adorable pictures of cats, but also because my short story, The Treasure of Lady Margaret, is in it! Featuring treasure (well duh), cats and ghosts. See?
