Former rodeo champion and cowboy Walker Thompson trains horses at Brush Creek Horse Ranch, where he lives a simple life in his cabin with his ten-year-old son, Michael. A widower of six years, he’s just trying to provide a life for Michael that his late wife would’ve approved of. He’s worked with Tess Wagner, a widow who came to Brush Creek to escape the turmoil of her life to give her seven-year-old son, Graham, a slower pace of life. Together, they run a cotton candy stand at the town’s Heritage Festival every fall, donating the money they raise to the National Widows & Widowers Foundation to help those who’ve suffered the way they have.

Walker’s boss and best friend, ranch owner Landon Edmunds, has encouraged him to start dating, and Walker looks no further than Tess. She’s interested in him too, but neither of them wants to inflict more sorrow and suffering on the other than they’ve already endured. So when Tess confesses that her breast cancer has flared up again, Walker backs off. Way off.

In the end, he’ll have to decide if he’d rather spend even a short time with Tess and Graham than not have them in his life at all. Tess wants to feel God’s love and power, but she’ll have to discover and accept God’s will in order to find her happy ending. Picture Picture Visit I Am A Reader and enter for your chance

Sometimes Love Can Be Arranged.

Arav Shetty had it all. The handsome, self-made billionaire topped the list of New York’s most eligible bachelors and sat at the helm of the city’s biggest tech empire. He also had a plan - buy out the brilliant upstart nipping at his heels, and dominate as the biggest and best tech company in New York.

The strategy had worked for him in the past. He had the resources and skills to pull it off. And, he was determined to overcome his father’s dark legacy, and prove he had what it took to stay on top. Nothing would distract him from his goal. He’d buy out his biggest rival but the company’s owner, Nisha Jain wasn’t the pushover he believed.

Nisha Jain had a plan, too. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, her early years had been a carefully scripted fairy tale. She knew she was on the right path when her biggest competitor wanted to meet with her.

But when they met, nothing went as planned.

Neither expected the instant spark of attraction, nor the hurtful words tossed around like confetti. What was supposed to be a cakewalk became more complicated than either ever imagined.

When words won’t come easily…

From picnics and horseback riding, small-town florist, Brooke Holt, is all about the romance. A closet musician, she pours her romantic fantasies into writing country music ballads, and she might even share them someday if she weren’t stricken with a severe case of stage fright.

Cobble Creek’s divorce attorney Isaac Murphy is just the opposite. He’s seen enough disappointed hearts and broken marriages to know love takes more than a bouquet of roses and flowery phrases. It pays to be pragmatic when it comes to relationships, especially as support for a niece struggling with selective mutism.

When Brooke’s brother starts dating Isaac’s sister, what starts as a friendly wager between Brooke and Isaac brings out their competitive streaks. Falling back into being best friends is easy, but when feelings start to turn into something more, saying something becomes the greatest a gamble.

The Reluctant Groom by Kimberly Rose Johnson The Reluctant Groom by Kimberly Rose Johnson

When Ray O’Brien’s world is turned upside down, Katie Fairchild wants to help, but the personal cost is high. It would solve all his problems except for one thing—they aren’t in love.

Can these two friends team up for the greater good and perhaps find love along the way, or are their expectations impossible?

The Marriage Pact by Wendi Sotis The Marriage Pact by Wendi Sotis

The heir to an earldom has little control over his own fate, but Mr. James Aldridge promised himself one freedom. To marry for affection instead of wealth or connections. Anger flares when he learns his father has struck a deal: in one year, he will be leg-shackled to Miss Celia Colton, the dazzling beauty who had previously caught his eye. Now certain she was simply performing her role in a scheme to catch him as her husband, resentment prompts James to refuse to squander his last months of independence in the company of such a mistress of manipulation. But why can he not wrench his gaze from her at every encounter?

Completely unaware of the pact that has matched her with James, Miss Celia Colton is at a loss to explain why the man she secretly loves has suddenly become cold and critical. Abandoned by James, who had promised to guide her through her debut Season, she fears she will have to navigate the ton with only her grasping mother and distracted cousin as companions. Surrounded by gentlemen merely interested in her dowry, young ladies who view her as unwelcome competition, and, worse yet, James’s icy stares and disdainful manners, her primary concern is to discover the reason for his altered behaviour. How can she make things right between them? Will a love-match be forever out of her reach? March 10th Picture Beautiful Fury by Katharine E. Hamilton

Freezing Rain, Sleet, and Thunder? Oh, My!

Freezing Rain, Sleet, and Thunder? Oh, My! by Melanie D. Snitker We've seen a wide range of weather today. It started out with freezing rain overnight. Then it moved to sleet (at times, fairly large) that lasted several hours. During that time, we also had thunder and lightning. Then, just after lunch, the sleet changed to tiny snow flurries. The snow fell for maybe a half hour and then that was it. We're not supposed to get any more precipitation, although everything will probably stick around until tomorrow afternoon when it gets above freezing.

Meanwhile, it's very pretty outside. I took advantage of this rare winter weather and took some pictures I thought I'd share with you all. Have a blessed day!  Picture Picture Picture
