ASTOUND IS FREE!

For the next five days, Astound, the booklet about doctrine for the very small, is free!  Reformed theology for young children written in a way they can understand.  Your children can understand more than you think, and so many times we wait until they’re teenagers before talking to them about God.  Using this booklet to cover the basics can be a really helpful tool to start conversation with your kids!  Give it a try and see if they don’t understand more than you’d ever imagine.

Libera Boys Choir, a Blurb, and Gem!

The blurb for “Gem” as well as the song that inspired it!

From the bestselling author of Lucent Sylph comes a new story about a friendship in an unlikely place: between the child savior of a dying planet and his handler.

The planet of Topha is breaking into pieces and the next core earthquake will crack the planet into oblivion.

But God has sent generations of Omnicrons: children born with advanced brain abilities, telepathy and telekinesis – children who will be called upon to literally ho...

Meet Soleil and Gemini

#WIPjoy Day 8

Introduce your characters!
[image error]Soleil Punicello – main character – we hear all about Gem through her eyes. She’s 25, very smart, loving, nurturing, and has worked hard to get a job with Tuson Industries. She’s cheerful, friendly, and has experienced little to no rejection or pain in her life, and her mind’s an open book. Gem is amused and touched by her. She’s ESFJ.

One Line that Expresses the Theme of Gem

#WIPjoy – One line that expresses the story theme! My main character of Gem is 25-year-old Soleil Punicello, a bubbly, motherly young woman who is hired to be the boy genius, Gem’s caretaker, emotional support, and friend.  The line that encapsulates the theme is all hers – the chatterbox that never stops talking, but who is a hero in her own right.

Lawless

There’s a new book out TODAY, on my dear little sister’s birthday, that you have to read!  Disclaimer: I haven’t read it yet, but I got to sit in the room while the author, Janeen Ippolito, brainstormed parts of the main character, and I am excited about it!  Mine arrived in my Kindle app today, so you can read it with me!

Please Give Me Your Opinion!

I’ve heard a ton about email newsletters, but am on the fence. I already have this blog, which is thriving, and a Facebook author page (https://www.facebook.com/BlondeRJConte/) with 478 followers. It takes time to update both of those!
Two questions:
1. Do you follow my FB author page?
2. Would you read an email newsletter from me?
There is NO wrong answer. If an email newsletter would just get lost in your inbox, I would not be offended in the least. Let me know!  Comment below!

Teaching in Taiwan, Modern Slavery, and Annie Douglass Lima!

[image error]Today, on the blog, I’d like to introduce you to Annie Douglass Lima!  I’ve hosted part of her blog tour in the past, and I’d like to just have her talk personally now, so you can meet the amazing and sweet author behind an incredibly original series!

Hello, Annie!  What first inspired you to write about slavery and martial arts?

Annie: I’ve had the idea for the Krillonian Chronicles growing in my mind for the last few years.  It started as just a picture of the setting and its culture (with...
