Although I’ve been reading and writing fiction since my childhood, the idea that I could be a published author never got further than the back of my mind. I’ve been a dance teacher, executive secretary, library assistant, brownie leader, genealogist, and small business owner, but it wasn’t until I began working in the History Department of a university that the plot, the characters, and the impetus all came together and my career as a romance writer began. My favourite settings are the Middle Ages and the Regency, but my interests lie in just about every era from Prehistory to the Edwardians. When I’m not writing or reading, I’m usually tracing the family history or scrapbooking, and I love a game of cards or mah jong.
