The Fort, From Above
Heres a short video I made just for fun. This is The Fort a sprawling warehouse on the south side of Columbus, where my studio resides. I love how its simultaneously a massive and impressive landmark yet still somehow modest and understated. For decades its sat vacant, just two miles from the city center, waiting to be re-discovered. Now its home to over 50 small businesses, including my own, all of whom celebrate the layers of history that coat the walls and windows within.

Traumatic Portraits: Integrating the Past and Present
Ive struggled with depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember, and Ive tried everything from medication to dietary changes to shake the issues. In 2017 my therapist suggested that I had survived an abusive childhood but I laughed it off, listing a number of pleasant memories as a counter argument. However, in the years that followed, the more I read about trauma and how the body writes that terror to our DNA, I began to accept the truth and reframe my history.
