It's all the way out

I want to say that Learning CurveX2 is everywhere tonight in paper and E-versions. I will be listing it here soon. And I still want to do a give away and try an advertising try here.

The picture for the E-version and Amazon needs some work it looks like even though it has the dimensions they said worked best. I replaced it with one a bit better but it may not have been cycled through yet-if it does.

The E-version is on sale everywhere too. Half off what it will be.

New Novel Learning CurveX2 update

I have mentioned this novel earlier a time or three. I kept forgetting to get the .mobi format ready to send to Kindle. I did that tonight. On little problem; as you probably know they do spell check on the new files you upload. They found a bunch so I checked them out. Only two were real problems, the others were words I used that it didn't recognize. I thought about leaving just the two but decided that one needed changing. The other one I may have let go. jared for jarred. But the one that needed a change was really jarring. performa for perfume. Evidently I got the other perfume-s correct but somehow missed that one or the change didn't get saved. I believe that does happen at times.

So I went through the whole routine to change the files on Amazon, CreateSpace and Smashwords. Ugh.

Got no writing done this afternoon and evening.

So soon as it is listed on Amazon I will be listing it here. And it's on a sale price because it is new and because Christmas is coming.

After Nano update

Okay back to the usual. In this case that means finishing a story for Writers of the Future, due this month. It is a simple story but it is giving me fits. Too wrapped up in getting the first section right.


Working on the revision of last years Nano Book- The Courier and one other book I have written. I have a week off for Christmas and I hope to get the Nono novel finished during it, maybe some good headway on the other one too.

The Courier is steampunk set in our time and the other is what I am calling fantasy-preindustrial steampunk adventure.

I may also do a couple of shorties for pics on Google+

Last NaNo update

I did it 51,180 words. An opening, try and fail cycles, a middle and a conclusion with a final battle.


Short synopses.

A runner-who has many ways to make money, some legal, some not, some sort of-goes after an ancient object that can give certain people great mental powers. On the way to finding it he also ends up searching who he is.


I hope great fun and when revised, with additional scenes, a good read. Not sure when that will be though. I still need to revise last years NaNo novel and one other I have done. And write short stories for a contest.

So close Nano

I am so close. Just need 2,000 words tomorrow. A few less won't hurt but I will try anyway. Got to finish one previous scene and the after conclusion so we shall see if I need anything extra .

My hero has to confront his apprentice with something I have been hinting at, he just now figured out. And still not exactly sure what to do with the Crystal. 

Almost last NaNo report

I broke 45,000 today. My hero is headed for his last confrontation and battle.

I introduced a group I still not sure of who they are. I may have to leave that plot hole and fix it during the revisions. I could still come up with something though.

Now for my update.



Didn't quite get the 3,300 words I wanted I ended up having to take a nap a couple of hours after eating Thanksgiving dinner.



But still I got further than I thought I would earlier 3,042 words



My MC is going on one last dangerous mission because he thinks he knows where the object is. But he will have confront the bad guy-I just came up with how an hour or so ago-and have a finally fight with him. Not that he has fought the guy before but it is the final confrontation. Still not sure what to do with the object though.

Still more Nano

Okay ran an errand for my wife. only 1400 and some words today. That makes three nights that I missed my goal. But if I can do 3,300 words Tomorrow-Thanksgiving in the US-I will be 500 words ahead of my goal for these four days. If I do 2,200. I am not working, but have to have a MRA in the morning and help my wife with Christmas decorations after that and maybe a trip to go buy fishing line, and a trip to the bank, so I am not sure of how much writing time I will have.

But if I did I would around 43,000 words. And might get the rest this weekend. In that case I will go for the 55,000 to 60,000 words I want.

Right now my Main Character has just had a revelation and will be headed for the conclusion. Still not sure what he will do with the object he wants to find. Hide it or destroy it or ??? The bad guys will still want it after all. Maybe give it to a group, I have mentioned, that would hide it.

And more Nano

Surprised myself today. Had to do a few things so didn't think I would make my goal of 2200 words. Got 2620. It was flowing. Showing more about the universe my hero lives in and he had to flee his base-with three cruiser size ships after him, after checking out a data broker. He still isn't sure where the item he needs to find is. I need to come up with a hint.

I may redo some of this later, try to get more tension in it and such.


He is now in his safe house and going through an emotional challenge-if he should give up or not.
