Two October poetry readings coming soon!
I have a poetry reading happening one week from today, Thursday October 10, at Loganberry Books, which you can find out a bit more about if you click on October 10, 7, Broadsides & Ephemera, on the Events Calendar HERE -http://www.loganberrybooks.com/events/And then a little over a week later, the next weekend, I'll be reading at Manic on Main, October 19th, also at 7, with Steve Brightman and Theresa Göttl Brightman, see the post below.I'll be a different age at each poetry reading and I'll have a few poetry books/chapbooks for sale at each event. Can't advance predict what my mood will be at each reading. Still need to decide what poems to read and what socks to wear and so on and so forth...

Happy October! A NEW poem by me and j/j hastain is up at Rogue Agent today!
"We don't wrench out every bite of pie filling
because that would debilitate the crust.
We don’t try to unearth our whole life’s story in the memoir
about how we felt the first time we watched E.T.
We don't maintain the exact same flavor forever.
Connective tissue eventually rips apart;
flutters down from the scaffolding
and lands in its own new space."
from the poem "FOR CLASSIFICATION PURPOSES" by Juliet Cook and j/j hastain, at Rogue Agent Issue 55

A NEW Interview with me is up on Cultural Weekly!
Thank you very much to Eileen Murphy for conducting this Cultural Weekly Interview with me about poetry. One of the questions she asked me was why dolls find their way into much of my poetry and here was part of my response:
"I feel like some people view or treat other people like dolls, in certain ways. Or maybe not specifically like dolls, but like un-meaningful, un-individualistic, largely emotionless, relatively heartless bodies that can just be broken into little pieces, thrown away, heaped in the trash, or tossed in a garbage barrel with a bunch of other quickly cut off doll heads."
