falling
It really, truly bothers me trying to revise one of my very own poems and yet no longer knowing or understanding what quite a few of the words mean. For just one of many examples- Glossed ungula molt.
*
Poetry is just one of many examples of parts/pieces/aspects within my brain and my life that are really, truly bothering me, but I will not type the others here.

Poetic Poems & Hot Reviews
These two fun photos were taken of me by the lovely poet Becca Claver during my reading at the recent Slash Pine Press poetry festival. I've not yet downloaded or uploaded my own photos, so just might post a few more soon.
As well as glancing at these darkly sweet little photos, you just might also want to read three very recent book reviews of three of my poetry collections. Scroll on down to my previous entry here to check out a review within the latest issue of Arsenic Lobster online liter...

Darkly Delicious FONDANT PIG ANGST
The first review of my poetry chapbook, FONDANT PIG ANGST, published by Slash Pine Press, has been written by Lissa Kiernan for the new issue of online literary mag. 'Arsenic Lobster' and it is awfully yummy!
Read a small tidmit below then click on the link if you would like to read more:
"...if you can just get past the long menu of gross, a delectable feast of savory music. Each time I read the book...I see more beauty and less ugly."

a jelly donut was my roommate...
I've been reading various poems lately to prepare for my upcoming poetry reading as part of the Slash Pine Press special event, for which I will be a part of many readers next Saturday. Here's another poem from my Slash Pine Press chapbook; the chapbook is called FONDANT PIG ANGST; this poem itself is called Spiracular.
I won't be reading this particular poem as part of the above-mentioned event, but I will be reading another piece from FONDANT PIG ANGST--2 poems from PINK LEOTARD & SHOCK COLL...

incantation translation (& more coming soon)...
(incantation)
locks of black sheep, old rosary beads,
dried rose petals placed between pages
with a small ceremony you can only imagine
my desirousness, covetousness, little sprouts
that grow into twisting tubers, climbing me,
seeking entry, this calligraphy that writes itself
on the body, imprint of desiccated flowers, strained feeders
I'm holding my hand out in the shape of a reliquary

Meat Chorus (for Letizia)
Meat Chorus is another of my odd poems published in the Slash Pine Press chapbook, FONDANT PIG ANGST. Letizia Merello is a lovely fellow writer who digs this piece, so I'm reading it for her. She's a deliciousy darkly creative poet who has written her own strangely and scarily yummy work and also has taken the time to Translate quite a few of my poems into Italian, hurrah! The next Blood Pudding Press chapbook, created in several months (probably early June) will be a collection between th...
