NEW Tinderbox Editions Book Interview with Nicole Rollender about her poetry chapbook Bone of My Bone, coming soon from Blood Pudding Press!

Through the half-lit poems in Bone of My Bone runs a troubling line of questioning – what’s beyond this life? – as the narrator contends with death on a very visceral level: “The hip is something/ no longer examined in the light.” In these poems’ rooms, which are like the ruins of a cathedral open to a night sky, the haunted narrator explores the real ways that we take which is ours, both in this life and in the next. There’s a chance to seize at “what is also the divine: There is no saint/without a past.”from a new Book Interview with Nicole Rollender, about her COMING SOON Blood Pudding Press poetry chapbook, "Bone of My Bone".Read more of this interview here - http://www.tinderboxeditions.blogspot.com/2015/08/book-interview-bone-of-my-bone-by.htmlThank you very much to Tinderbox Editions for conducting this interview.***"Bone of My Bone" is now available for pre-order in the Blood Pudding Press shop here - https://www.etsy.com/listing/244912275/preorder-bone-of-my-bone-by-nicole?ref=shop_home_active_1

NEW H_NGM_N Book Interview with Nicole Rollender about her poetry chapbook Bone of My Bone, coming soon from Blood Pudding Press!

These poems occur in a bombed-out cathedral, under cover of darkness, maybe some otherworldly light edging the sky. The narrator is many: women who talk to the dead, mothers who “plant skulls in soil and grow sunflowers,” women suicides, women who consider self-mutilation and suicide, women who cradle premature babies, women who prepare the bodies of the dead, women who exist between the “reliquaria of childbirth” and saints’ incorruptible bodies. These women also live inside themselves...From a new book interview up at H_NGM_N Books, about the forthcoming "Bone of My Bone" Blood Pudding Press poetry chapbook by Nicole Rollender! The chapbook is coming very soon - but before it has even arrived, you can read the author's perspective on this collection's poetry innards, HERE - http://h-ngm-n.tumblr.com/post/127159192089/chpbk-qs-and-as-with-nicole-rollender*This chapbook will be officially available the first weekend of September, but is available for pre-order now in the Blood Pudding Press shop, HERE - https://www.etsy.com/listing/244912275/preorder-bone-of-my-bone-by-nicole?ref=shop_home_active_1

NEW Review of Fiddle Is Flood by Lauren Gordon (Blood Pudding Press, 2015)

"Gordon moves from the pure white milk to the mud and grime. Dirt lines the cracks and spine of this collection in such a delectable way. "
and
"Gordon repeats the word “sweet” a word often used to describe little girls, but it is disturbing in a sense here. Other words like “hot” and “spittle” really deliver the tone home to an all-new way of thinking about this particular time period as well as punching us in our modern-age guts, conjuring up countless stories we’ve all heard about the street harassment of women (and even young girls)."
Just a few lines from a wonderfully detailed new review of the Blood Pudding Press poetry chapbook, "Fiddle Is Flood" by Lauren Gordon.
Thank you very much to Jennifer MacBain-Stephens for writing this wonderful review.

Before July ends a NEW Thirteen Myna Birds begins!

From Thirteen all the way down to Zero, Thirteen Myna Birds is all up & down with new poems by MeLaina Elise Ramos, Martin Willitts Jr., Jessie Janeshek, Ezhno Martín, Sarah Greenleaf, and Max Mundan athttp://13myna.blogspot.com/

"You are my strange insect - voice among red and black wires - bloodletting for relief - tilt from the timbers on metal prosthetics - steal the world from the butcher - i filled the space between my joints with fine green glitter - conveniently created a god to codify inequality - I become this siren-thing, mouth open because isn’t that what you want most? - Wake up, little earthling - The space between is the distance between two hands."

I have a new poem up at The Plot!

"Whose fault is it, if I get raped in my dreams
and then when I’m awake, I destroy men
and don’t even realize what I’m doing or why
my mind is diverging them into torn and brokenrubble stuffed in one sandwich bag after another?
It’s not like they’re all just pieces of meat andit’s not like we’re nothing but holes but
in one dream scene, I stand up for myself
and tell a guy to shut his mouth and the next thing I know
there’s a dick in every one of my holes to show mewhat my mouth is good for..."from my poem "DISPOSAL" at The Plot (An online literary journal by Villainess Press)
