Hey I just thought of something: maybe part of the reason Jon wanted Raoul on Progress was that he wanted Kel on Progress, jousting and competing and showing the world that society doesn’t crumble when women take up arms. We know he never does anything for just one reason, and we never really got a satisfactory reason for keeping Raoul cooped up aside from stubbornness and pride. Maybe that had something to do with it. We do know she changed at least some minds just by being there, from the interactions she had. And the timing of the Progress was perfect if that was his aim. I mean, what a great opportunity to take the country’s first openly female squire in a hundred years on tour. That’s some great PR right there.

#mmhmmmm good thoughts#but its also still bc jon is an ass and if he has to be on progress then a few people he actually likes damn well have to come along too#but it really is a good moment for everyone to basically just get accustomed to kel just being around#and let it become normal

He basically is! I mean he gets Alanna to show back up too and she’s been avoiding him for years since the whole Kel probation debacle but then he basically uses Kel as bait to get her to come, “see you can meet her in the public eye now so no one can say you magicked her”

When I was getting fancy parks vancouver called me about a complaint and I was so sure someone had decided our wedding site (with permit) was Somehow Wrong! But it turned out it was in response to a complaint I had made! The nervous breakdown was real for those few terrible moments though. But my amazing broomspeople @zmelson @kalixarules and @sineadazon kept me sane and got me to the wedding, dressed and with all my things. Thanks, lovelies!

My parents are so important to me, and sometimes it’s hard to be so far away from my roots and blood, but we have so many amazing trips and memories I can treasure. My parents being there for me at my wedding was one of the most special elements, and I’m so grateful for them, their support and their love.
