   I may have to work this into a cover for book 6 in the...

   I may have to work this into a cover for book 6 in the Tomahawks and Dragon Fire Series. It captures some of the excitement in chapter 5. I'm still in chapter 6, but the cataclysm that is chapter 5 reminded me of some important turning points in the series.The tower fight chapter of Threading the Rude Eye changed everything that followed. It led to Lucette's increased importance and set up the

Nathan Hale

 Fun FactNathan Hale joined the patriot forces on July 6, 1775. Prior to that he had graduated from Yale University and was teaching at a private academy in New London, Connecticut. After Washington's forces were forced from Long Island, Hale volunteered as a spy. He landed on Long Island dressed as a school teacher -- which would seem to have been a pretty good choice for a school teacher.

Hessians at New York

 Fun Fact:Of the 30,000 Germans who fought for the British during the revolutionary war, about 65% came from Hesse-Kassel and Hesse-Hanau. 8,000 Hessians arrived at Staten Island in August of 1776 and engaged in action shortly thereafter in The Battle of Long Island.
