Overwhelmed!

Hi,

It has been a while since I have posted on here. Things have been busy, as you know my 1st Novel is out and the past 5 weeks have been Epic. That isn’t even a good enough word but there isn’t one that can describe how I feel.

Strings was my heart and soul for 2 years and I put everything into it. Even now I am still working hard to keep the word spreading. Once you publish it doesn’t stop there. You have to keep pushing it. However, I love the feeling of finding a new reader or even just a new friend to chat with.

If I am honest I wasn’t expecting such a good response. I said to my husband, ‘If I sell 100 copies and a few like it. I will be happy.’ It has surpassed that and the reviews coming in by Book reviewers, readers posting on Amazon or just tweeting or posting on Facebook has literally blown my mind. I am now releasing paperbacks on July 25th using Createspace, which I didn’t even know about until recently, having my book in print has completed my dream. I am now working on the Sequel to Strings which has no release date, it will be ready when it’s ready although I now know what I am doing and the positive response has boosted my confidence. I cannot wait to give you all the sequel.

People often ask my advice on writing, just yesterday at a family party I spent time with a friends cousin who is trying to write a book, seeing how just talking to me gave him some help and confidence to continue was another moment that made me realise what I had achieved. I was told afterwards that he was excited about going home and getting on with it.

I’m just me and it’s all a little overwhelming. I am so thankful for all the support, advice and fangirling. Don’t be shy about being a Fangirl/boy, we all get excited about something and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
