Self-publishing can work!

First of all, Happy New Year, everybody!   Now, on to what's on my mind. I just finished this book. Other reviewers have said it's like "Pirates of the Caribbean for grown-ups" and "Game of Thrones on the high seas." Both of these are on target. If you want to know what pirate life was really like, I bet this comes closer than any other treatment currently on the market. Man cannot survive on beer alone ... but he can try

  Thank the gods, today is just a little bit longer than yesterday. And what a day. Two days after Christmas, and here I am, outside in a long-sleeve t-shirt, doing my part to contribute to global warming by burning leaves in the backyard firepit (I hope my future grandchidlren can someday forgive me), while wolfing a slice of cold pizza to compliment my second Sam Adams White Christmas Ale. Christmas Eve

Got the Christmas music playing all over the house (of course), got all the lights on both inside and out, and they'll stay on until Friday morning when I have to go back to work. In the meantime, lots of family and food and flying paper.   Everybody have a happy and safe holiday, whether you're burning rubber between houses all day, or staying home in your pajamas.
